I'm not astute at these sort of dicsussion but just want some opinions.
If people evolved from cells or rock or whatever the begining source was how did that source have life? I mean even if it was a cell the cell had to be alive right so where did that life come from? At some point matter turned from non-living to living? I guess the confusing thing to me is how life can come from non life.

I met Jimmy Swaggart at a restaurant in Baton Rouge a few years after his final fall - he looked broken.

If n*a*k*e*d* women don't turn me on and I don't have any intentions of sleeping with a girl I really like, am I bisexual? I generally don't like girls. I don't check girls out. I prefer guys. There is just this one girl that I really like but wouldn't do anything more than just passionately kiss her. What's going on with me? Please, no rude answers. Thanks

You know, there are a number of very brillant Christians. Issac Newton being one of them. Christians are smart people, so I think they are blinded by faith - almost to the point of stupidity.

Every time I invite someone over to my home it is fair to say that 100% they will either call and cancel at the last moment or not even show up. This applies to friends AND family. Either I'm just an easy target or they're all just jerks who are inconsiderate. Out of everyone in my life I'm the one who makes time for everybody. I work full time, have a busy social life through my church, and I volunteer at various places. I like my life and what I do with it. I don't understand. My schedule is very busy(matter of fact this is my one day off ;)) How is that only I can make the time? I've considered not extending invites to anyone ever, if they want to spend time with me then they will have to arrange it themselves and ask me. Is this a good idea?

Do they say mantras or do they have set prayers they repeat or do they pray like we Christians do and just talk to God in our own words?? Do they pray for other people or is their prayer more a thing that makes them attain a certain spiritual level or place? I would like to know. Thanks.

If Christ was to return to the earth in human form, born of a woman like some religious believe, what are the odds that he will make it (or did make it) past the surgeon's table?

Mine is that if a person drops a glass object and it doesn't break, the person is supposedly a Virgin.

Why did he need to steal one of Adam's ribs to create Eve?

Couldn't he have just used more dirt?

Or did he run out of spare parts?

Every time I question Islams religious practice's of hanging or stoning, the Muslims on the board here don't directly address the subject. And why is that?

Instead of answering my question it's look, look at America. And why is that?

Do you actually think that America is the problem of the Islam religion?

To what degree do your religious views influence this perspective?

Obviously there are a lot of possibilities so I will provide some examples to help focus the question. I am an American so this list is necessarily influenced by 'that' social upbringing. Of course, feel free to just "talk" and not address any of these specifically.

Dogs
Apes
Dolphins
Elephants
Parrots
Pigeons
Eagles
Fish (general)
Turtles
Alligators/crocodiles
Snakes (poisonous/large constrictors/"dangerous")
Snakes (nonpoisonous/"nondangerous")
Butterflies
Beetles (general)
Ants
Mosquitos
Octopi
Jellyfish

I'm convinced of the fact that earth is visited by extraterrestrials on a regular basis. I don't believe any of these abduction stories though - those people are just nutters. I reckon the planet is a giant protected nature reserve and is protected from interference by intergalactic law.
