God created Adam and Eve instantaneously. He literally told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good & evil and of life. If he didn't literally tell them, how could they know not to do it? So, we agree that God literally spoke to the VERY FIRST people on Earth, Adam and Eve. Why is it then, that your version of God is not the FIRST version of God ever worshiped?

Also, It would be more believable if two very different cultures on opposite ends of the Earth who never communicated with each other worshipped the same version of God, but this never happened. Why? When God came back to be remembered (after all these other "false" religions have already been formed) why was your version of God only worshipped in one general area? Why not on all parts of the world? Why did He only pay attention to one part of the world?

I'm not trying to win anyone to evolution because the research isn't finished yet. If anything, I wish people from all opinions would be more open handed about the matter. Science or progress should not be the enemy of Christians. It feels to me that the Creationists who do attempt research are so intent in proving their point, they miss the larger truth and time and time again humiliate themselves. It seems unnecessarily desperate. If you truly believe in God, then relax and just look for the truth, whatever it is.

belief at all? I'm Catholic and when I hear that a child was murdered at the hands of his/her parents I tend to step back and just wonder, why?? How can a loving God allow this to happen? Why be born to just die?

Do people ever think that they should research something more or does it matter at all.

Misconceptions cant just be made up so they must have a source.

I am thinking in this case that much comes from Catholics who didnt or dont really understand their faith.

The catholic church can be guilty of this because they baptise, give communion and then confirm kid who really dont know what is going on.

Then most people go to mass and dont understand what is happening.

i think the best answers tend to be from protestants who come back to the church because they tend to have a fuller perspective.

Anyone want to bet that for every sensible answer I get 10 stupid ones about the pope, mary, purgatory etc.

Well everyone knows that most of the Christian celebrations were adopted and have pagan origins. For example, here are some:
Christians adopted the cruciform from the Egyptians
Swatica from the Hindu
Dying eggs (this was done way before Christianity was born)

Looking at Africa 200-400 years ago and now wouldn't it be logical to see that the slaves that came to the Americas were the luckiest people in Africa. The vast majority were already slaves in Africa in what is now Uganda, Nigeria, Angola, Mali, Chad, Somalia. The conditions were far more worse than when they came to a southern plantation in SouthCarolina where they were cared for and were allowed to have families etc. That would seem to be one lucky ticket to America. A friend who just returned from a 10 nation trip to Africa showed me a few hours of video tape of these poor kids with flies in their eyes...we are talking millions, aides, diease and on and on. When I hear some ignorant black leader speaking of the terrible conditions for blacks in this nation I will always be reminded of the starvation and corruption in the land of his ancestors...shouldn't they be thankful for what the white man and how we lifted them out of that hell-hole Africa?

Larry King had a panel on one show of former Nasa Astronauts and when he flat out asked if thier was life beyonf this one.. They said On yeah.. but would not elaborate...We cannot understand what other life might be out there, and we cannot understand the magnitude of GOD but what I post here about NDE's prophecy,
Jesus Christ is to show many of you that deny GOD that you deny because of a personal choice, not because thier is no evidence of GOD and his magnificent creation...

Jesus told me God changed her mind about the Bible- it's been rewritten too many times- and now she wants everybody to follow another Book only I can see (ps- Does this make me kind of like the second coming? Not sure on that.) Anyway, this new Book says everybody's supposed to mail 1$ to me for the trouble of being the Messenger, and in return they'll receive eternal salvation. If they want to give more, that's fine. What a bargain, eh?! Think it through- don't say "well that's not in the Bible"- God doesn't want us to follow the Bible anymore, she changed her mind, she's God, after all!
