Looking at Africa 200-400 years ago and now wouldn't it be logical to see that the slaves that came to the Americas were the luckiest people in Africa. The vast majority were already slaves in Africa in what is now Uganda, Nigeria, Angola, Mali, Chad, Somalia. The conditions were far more worse than when they came to a southern plantation in SouthCarolina where they were cared for and were allowed to have families etc. That would seem to be one lucky ticket to America. A friend who just returned from a 10 nation trip to Africa showed me a few hours of video tape of these poor kids with flies in their eyes...we are talking millions, aides, diease and on and on. When I hear some ignorant black leader speaking of the terrible conditions for blacks in this nation I will always be reminded of the starvation and corruption in the land of his ancestors...shouldn't they be thankful for what the white man and how we lifted them out of that hell-hole Africa?

it's amazing that you use the term cared for...slaves were not cared for...they were looked upon as investments...they were not allowed anything their master did not let them have...allowed to have a family? are u serious? families were separated at will...women were raped...killed, maimed, etc....men, women and children were at the mercy of their white slave masters and their sick sexual perversions....

life in Africa was and is not perfect...but damn it....flies in your eyes is better than having to live in fear every god dam minute.

The vast majority were not slaves. It was the coastal areas that were affected by slavery. In West africa this resulted into the coastal areas becoming uinhabited because the people fled inward.

Africa was underpopulated and there were no food crises that you see today in certain countries. What people called a primitive life style was in fact a hunter-gatherer life style where people hunted game and foraged for their subsistence. Today, more people are having to compete for just about the same amount of resources as before, including lack of money to buy necessities eversince the introduction of the monetary system.

The Africa you know on the TV is not the whole story. The media does it for a purpose. We will never know why.

Conditions were not worse. Africa has become a drier place since then and the population has increased tremendously making resources scarcer since they have to be shared between a larger number of people.

"spice g" the flies you are talking about are brought about by a people who don't care anymore for hygiene and sanitation and I don't believe it would be very hard to understand when you recall the pictures of children as well as adults with nothing more than skin and bones that used to be broadcast all around the world for people to see. It is a kind of sadistic journalism that comes on the spot whenever disaster strikes. The more normal daily life of Africans has never been interesting Well, Africa is much more than those pictures and things, for those who want to get to know us and understand us.

That's all I had to say.

Are you sure that conditions in Africa now are the same as they were 200 to 400 years ago? AIDS didn't exist then, and the population was much smaller, for example. You're comparing apples to artichokes here.

1600 that's anticipated that the monetary gadget of China equals the full monetary gadget of Europe at present. Southern Africa has been determining to purchase and advertising with China and the Kalahari Bushmen with Mongolian eye folds and flat vast noses are in South Africa approximately this time. Their ideals middle on believe, peace and cooperation. some tribes talk different languages unintelligible to the different tribes suggesting different migrations. This century extra beneficial than one million,000 infants have been abducted in Europe and shipped to united states of america of america as indentured servants (slaves). Plague and famine in Russia killed an anticipated 500,000 people. 1618 - 1648 beginning up of the thirty-365 days conflict that started out as a ecu non secular war ended as a political capability war. Mercenaries had no loyalty and could replaced factors if no longer paid and who're allowed to pillage and suppress the inhabitants with undesirable devastation. That grew to become into Europe 4 hundred years in the past. so which you think of being carried for the time of an ocean to an unknown u . s . a . the place you do no longer talk the language, you're taken care of not extra constructive than a semi-human animal, pressured to bred with whoever grew to become into chosen for you, that your baby could be taken from you and offered on a whim, grew to become into extra constructive than being a loose man or woman? particular, that they had slavery, various places did, in Europe, Asia, North united states of america of america, South united states of america of america. you do no longer hink that Europe had extra beneficial than a splash to do with Africa being as screwed up as that's now? Why do the ignorant continuously say such stupid issues to back up their loss of knowlege of international history? we can under no circumstances be attentive to what Africa could are transforming into if the Europeans had left it by myself. The europeans did no longer precisely bypass away in the back of any intense ethical standards while they decide directly to "enable Africa stand on it is own", no longer that they have got enable Africa stand on it is own, too lots money to be made there.

How can a person's life "improve" when he is forced onto a slave ship, hands and feet shackled, crammed together with other slaves, barely any air, food or water, hardly any room to even move with disease and death, then, adding insult to injury, doing work that the rich plantation owners could have done themselves?
How can someone's life be "improved" if they are exploited for hard labor with very little pay and a low standard of living as they toil in the hellish cotton fields, then have to go home to one-room tarpaper shacks?
Yes, we should thank the white man. Thank you for using us. Thank you for cramming us on these ships. Thank you for treating us as less than human. Thank you for building this nation on our backs. Thank you for explotiing your own people in America: Germans, Irish, Italian, European Jews, Eastern and Southern Europeans, and anyone else that you consider lower than yourselves. Thank you for seperating us from our true culture, snatching us away from our homes, and changing our names to make YOU comfortable. Thank you for tearing our families apart when we got to the American shore by selling family members away from each other. Thank your for trying to keep us from reading and getting educated in slavery days. Thank you for denying us our rights to vote, own property, ect. Thank you for Jim Crow, the racist film "Birth of a Nation. Thank you for treating civil rights leaders as terrorists, and killing off our most important leaders, Martin Luther King Jr, and Malcolm X, among others. Thank you for your FBI probes of civil rights groups (ie, the COINTEL program to survey these groups as if they were terrorists). We thank you for making life harder than it should be in America. Why should I, as a black person, be blocked from certain neighborhoods even if I could afford to live there AND I have good credit? Why should blacks have to knock down unnecessary obstacles, like some scared white lender or employer, in order to just live and achieve in America? Many black people are very successful in their lives, but the obstacles that they had to go through make me sad and angry. Why were these obstacles there in the first place? Yes, we thank you, White Man.
