The only time most people pray is when they need something, me included.
When I don't get an answer I try again and again. Usually in this repeating I find other things I needed that I did not know.

If God gave us everything right away we would stop praying.
Hard to have patience during prayer but sometimes you just need to wait and listen.

That's hard to say. Not sure i know the answer. I will say that in the Bible there are three answers to prayers in examples.

Sometimes God said "Yes" , sometimes, "no", and sometimes, "wait".

On this note, I hate that Garth Brooks song "Unanswered Prayers" for this very reason. God did answer his prayer. His answer was just "no".

It could just be that what you are praying for may harm you or someone else. Prayers should always be thought through before they are posted. As the saying goes, 'Be careful what you ask for. You might just get it'.

Well that is why he said "wait on the Lord's deliverance"
