and it happened right in front of your eyes. Would you believe if you saw a mentally ill person healed in front of you and speak for the first time?

I have been on many mission trips and see this type of thing happen often....Placebo affect is thrown out because we did not speak the same language and there was no interpretor. Coincidences do not happen that often.

If I could verify that the person really was mentally ill and had never spoken, I'd definitely research it further, and would probably start believing in whatever god was prayed to.

What would you think if you saw someone pray for something...?
and it happened right in front of your eyes
-- Depends on what they prayed for. Coincidence or hallucination would be the most likely explanations.

Would you believe if you saw a mentally ill person healed in front of you and speak for the first time?
-- I'd think that it was the placebo effect in action.

Seeing is believing. Or is it? People walked with Jesus for years and He performed miracles right in front of them too and still some didn't believe. Seeing with your eyes is one thing but seeing with your heart is another.

Possibly (or just be incredibly weirded out and dismiss it as a coincidence; or speculate about whether the person praying made a pact with Satan, as God's response rate is much slower than his).

This may seem stupid to you but yesterday I saw some good-looking tomatoes in a neighbor's garden and I ask the Lord to keep me from being envious of my neighbor and to send me a tomatoe. That evening two different neighbors brought me some tomatoes. They were the first I had eaten this season. I really love God and tomatoes.

God answers prayers in ways He thinks best for you. You may not like it, but He gives what you need. A true believer doesn't have to see and believe. I wouldn't be surprised. God works miracles.

Well lets see... I would not think anything of it....because heres why. My sisters are both religious along with my inlaws they pray to "god" all the time to heal my son and guess what?? he's not any better he's worse.. so your question is completely hypothetical to me and has no meaning what so ever.

OK.....if somebody prayed for the Pacific Ocean to part, so they could walk to Japan...and it parted....yeah, I'd be fairly impressed.
