I am an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church. How much would you pay for a get-out-of-hell-free card if I were to sell indulgences on eBay?

These are real, minister-sponsored indulgences, so don't worry; I'll make sure God doesn't count your sin against you, as long as you pay me...

Is that like the stupid "carbon credits"?

That's along the lines of thinking that "I can do something bad and a monetary settlement will take care of everything."

But since the LA Archdiocese DID pay off quite a hefty sum, that just might be the church's natural thinking anyway.

Its okay, most ministers are corupt in some way, your own indulgence is money. Good thing I don't believe.
