How far back do Galaxies go back?
Since GOD is infinite so is the Universe...
The Solar System has billions of stras and planets that go on and on..
Apparently there is now wyt to measure how old the Universe is..

God promises us that in the perfect world, we will get to explore his universe for eternity so we will never run out of wonderful miraculous things to do...
Thoughts?

then why does he rely on man to teach other man that he exists, while knowing that man are fallible and prone to lie? and why does he do this and then punish us for not believing?

if he really exists why is it we have to grow up and learn about him to believe him? why arent we born with knowledge of his existance?

If you already do believe in God, what would be necessary to eliminate your faith? Is it possible?

Have any of you encountered someone in an official capacity who has been all nice & friendly, said they were going to help you get a disability pension, & housing, then have them turn around & say "I cant help you after all" & they drop you flat AFTER you got your hopes up? This is so cruel.

IMO false hope is worse than no hope. You leave thanking God, feeling SO relieved someone is finally going to help you, then they just slam you back on your face again.

Not only have they gotten your hopes up, you have stopped pursuing other avenues believing you have found THE ONE person who is finally going to help you? "We will make sure you dont end up homeless and living on the street -"

Then nothing, just something really stupid like "have you applied for Social Assistance?" AFTER you have told them you were turned down for Assistance twice & told to sell you car, worth $500

I am so PO'd, (Canada) & I am fed up with this kind of crap from the MP's & MLA's office

I am a member of a 12 step program and have been developing a contact with a God of my understanding for the last year or so. I would like to find a specific place to worship my higher power but I have noticed that a lot of denominations and religions have real trouble with gay/bi men. I have no time for a 'church' like that. My God made me and is cool with who I am I would like to know what religions or denominations are compatible with the whole "of our understanding" thing and are not out to 'cure' gay/bi men

Please waste neither my time nor yours by telling me how God hates gays cuz you aren't God.

Doesn't 1 Corinthians 16:1, 2 speak of Sunday school offerings?
1 Corinthians 16:2
No, there is no reference here to a public meeting. The money was to be laid aside privately at home. A famine was raging in Judea (Romans 15:26; Acts 11:26-30), and Paul was writing to ask the churches in Asia Minor to assist their famine-stricken brethren. These Christians all kept Sabbath holy, so Paul suggested that on Sunday morning (which was the time they paid bills and settled accounts), after the Sabbath was over, they put aside something for their needy brethren so it would be on hand when he came. It was to be done privately or, as La Santa Biblia (a Spanish translation) says, "at home." Notice also that there is no reference here to Sunday as a holy day. In fact, the Bible nowhere commands or even suggests Sundaykeeping.
But isn't John 20:19 the record of the disciples instituting Sundaykeeping in honor of the resurrection?
John 20:19
On the contrary, the disciples at this time did not believe that the resurrection had taken place (Mark 16:14). They had met there "for fear of the Jews" and had the doors bolted. When Jesus appeared in their midst, He rebuked them "because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen." There is no implication that they counted Sunday as a holy day. Only eight texts in the New Testament mention the first day of the week; none of them imply that it is holy.According to Romans 14:5, the day we keep is a matter of personal opinion, isn't it?
Romans 14:5
Notice that the whole chapter is on judging one another (Verses 4, 10, 13). The issue here is not over the seventh-day Sabbath, which was a part of the great moral law, but over the yearly feast days of the ceremonial law. Jewish Christians were judging Gentile Christians for not observing them. Paul is simply saying, "Don't judge each other. That ceremonial law is no longer binding."

Why is it that when someone of a different ethnic background is able to speak in clear consice, manner people say that the individual is speaking like a white person. The last time I check speaking properly was not restricted to only white people. I have noticed that both black and white people say this: "You speak like a white person"

Well I gues my question why do we associate the use of proper language with being white?

I am a Christian and I enjoy learning about my Indian culture and ancestry. I'm wondering how I can embrace my heritage and culture without denouncing my faith in Jesus Christ. There are many festivals and events that I would like to be apart of (just for the experience), but most of them are contrary to my Christian beliefs. So what is one to do?

O.K. to shorten the original question...this one about David and Jonathon

2 Samuel 1:26 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

26 I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother;
you were very dear to me.
Your love for me was wonderful,
more wonderful than that of women

Granted they also pursued women...Bathsheba, etc...But, love being more wonderful than that of women...obviously implies homosexuality.

And, please do not say this is "brotherly" love...."brotherly" love is quite different than that spoken of here....

Your thoughts?
