We don't. We should be going to church because we want to fellowship with others who believe the same way but you don't have to go to be a christian. We are the church. All the christians in the world make up "the church". A church building will not get you into heaven or make you a better person. All that comes from within. Men need churches for public worship. Plus if you have a really great pastor (like I do) you will learn a lot about the bible if you go to church. But getting back to your question -- we don't NEED churches.

The church (building) is supposed to be a place where believers fellowship and worship...but you're right! Christ lives in the hearts of those who are believers therefore we shouldn't wait for church every week before we share Christ and His goodness with others. That also brings me to another point about prayer being taken out of schools. So many people have made a HUGE fuss about it! But the truth is, it only gets us focused on the "creature" (man/woman) instead of the "creator" (God). So since Christ lives in our hearts no one can really take prayer out of the schools, because no one has control over your thoughts. So you or I or anyone else can pray as much as we want in school or anywhere else. That's the great thing about God...he knows our heart!! :)

while it is true that God is in every ones hearts, not everyone believes and/or seeks him. some people may have doubts. i think the church is made so one can worship God if he wants to, or to hear the message in a way which is in modern language which one can understand. plus the main thing is that Christians grow stronger in communities. and the church also will go on out-reach missions to help others around them whether it means going out to a different country or just out to the neighborhood. without the church feeding you more and more knowledge about how to lead a christian life, Christians worldwide wouldn't last long in a world full of evil that criticizes them

There is only one True Church... and The Church is where Two or more are gathered in The Name of Jesus The Christ... God, through The Holy Spirit, indwells all of those of The Church.
All who come to God in The Way He prescribes receive His free gift of Salvation. Those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven

When you are not in the company of fellow believers, you tend to not forget, but put aside your beliefs in order to fit in with people. You find that you don`t have the time to pray and read God`s Word because of the many things you must do during the day. The flesh is weak because it is cursed, being made from the dust of the ground.
And the busier you are, the less time you give to God. The devil loves it when you have no time for God.
Having fellowship with other believers at least once a week gives you back your focus on what is important, Jesus Christ.
or it should.

We don't need to go to a church building to have a close relationship with God... no. I personally believe that going to church is to discuss the bible, worship with other people who love God and also, (hopefully) to use as a "springboard" from which to enable yourself to serve God the most effectively. The importance of these things are the reasons why the church was created.

Hi and good morning....We don't need churches. Christian Archaeologists had found some writings or Scriptures that had been written from Jesus stating that 'As long as we believed in Him and His Father and we had Them in our hearts that one didn't need a building to worship Him, that our hearts were our Temple.' So with this in mind, one doesn't actually need a church to believe or to have faith as long as you believe in your heart. But if you remember in the Book of Revelations it also states that if one teaches the word of God that he will be solely blessed in the Kingdom of Heaven. Have a blessed day!

Good Question, a church should not be required to know truth which is indeed in our heart. Churches can however provide a place of common fellowship and a chance just to be with people who think as you do.

The Bible teaches that we need to gather together with other believers. There are many things that we are commanded to do that we cannot do without being in a body of believers. Churches are designed for teaching and reproof, building up other believers, growing in character and Godliness, etc. These are things one cannot do alone.

The church is the people who belong to Jesus. Not the building or an institution. Jesus is the head of His church the people are the body. The church is also called "the bride of Christ" and the "called out".

One belongs to the body of Jesus when they accept Him as their Lord and their Savior.

You can't "go to church" and you can't even "go to worship service. Our lives are our worship service to God.

God does expect for us to meet together so that we can hear the word of God, encourage each other, fellowship with each other, sing praises and pray together.
