Well, first of all, it takes more than "accepting the Lord" to make it to Heaven, sir. It's more of the Lord "accepting" YOU.
You must be born again. John 3:1-7, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-5.
Secondly, before the time of Jesus, we were under what's called "Old Testament", and it was not about the sacrifice Jesus made. It was a different "dispensation" [time period] in which God deals with man.
Right now, we are in the "grace dispensation", to where peeps can say or do anything, and most likely nothing will happen. But there is coming a day, to where this dispensation will come to a close, and the next one "judgement" will soon fast approach.

Before Jesus the people had the law and the prophets, they sacrificed animals to push their sins forward. After Jesus came as the perfect sacrifice, we no longer need to sacrifice animals. Jesus paid the price for all who will accept Him as their Lord and savior to get to go to heaven. In the old testament people went to heaven, by believing in and accepting God.

Those before Jesus have their own covenant with God and according to how they kept it they will be judged.
You more to the point have heard of Jesus and while I doubt you know enough about Him at this point in your life to make any decisions, but if your are, if you know the Jesus story and you reject him then you burn. It's that black and white.
You probably still have time to study and learn all you need on a variety of subjects. Even get a little more life experience but when you are ready to make a decision He will be waiting with His arms open. No matter what bad things people say about Him. He wants you to be His brother.

Those before Christ had to look forward to his coming. Since the perfect sacrifice had not been made (his death on the cross), they were required to give regualr sacrifices to atone for sin. Those that followed this example went to paradise, awaiting the completion of the death, burial and resurrection before they could enter into heaven.
Those who do not accept his coming now, are subject to the same penalties as those prior are: eternity in Hell.

I think those people were judged according to their actions. I know that none of them were perfect, but some people may have been more godly than others. I honestly don't know, however. But I am a Christian and I will look around in heaven when I get there, and look for Moses and David and Abraham and Joseph and the others

For those who lived before the appearance of Jesus the Scripture says that the evidence of his existence has been, and is, all around is (Romans1). In addition anyone who believes this and God's call upon them is saved (Genesis 15:5,6 and Galatians 3:7-9).

The Bible says that "Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness." Before Jesus came, people looked ahead to the promised Messiah and believed God. Jesus died for all sins--past, present, and future. After Jesus came, the Bible says that Jesus would become a "stumbling block" for many who would not be willing to accept him.
God sets the terms for us to come to him, and says that we must come through Jesus Christ. This is not a barrier to those of other faiths, however, since God draws people to himself from "every nation, tribe, and tongue." I've met many people who came to know about Jesus is unusual ways and in unlikely places.
Yes, those who refuse to accept Jesus will spend eternity separated from God and all that comes from him, which is everything that is good, wonderful, beautiful, amazing, sweet, comforting, peaceful, etc. They will be in hell--separated from God by choice.

When Jesus was crucified and died. He went to Hades with the keys to release the ones there. Jews did a sacrifice to simply cover their sins and not take them away. Jesus went to wash them clean once and for all so that they could enter Heaven which not only has no sin, therefore anyone with sin cannot enter.
