Well a true spell book is one that is handed down from mother to daughter for many many years. If you would like to start one there is a number of books that will show you how to do that. Go to booksamillion.com and type in Wicca spell books. All kinds of books will come up. But remember this is not a game or a toy if you are not into the craft and are just wondering if it will work be careful. Everything you do will return to you 10 fold.

Ok, Irishlady....quit watching Charmed if that's what you think. As for Dr Zoom Zoom... your just focusing on the bad times people (all people) face, such as premature death and the like. A true spell book (yes a real one) should be created by you, and yes it can be passed down threw your family, it is not a sexiest thing. While yes your spell book is technically called a Book of Shadows, YOUR Book of Shadows. Since the spells you create are the ones that will work best for you and for your intent.

I have to agree with darkfire 1824, it has to be your own Book of Shadows to work for you-
Did you try making a Grimoire yet? Are you intested in being a witch? Or are you just trying to look for a book with spells already in it for an assignment?
For books with spells try checking out amazon.com or visit your local metaphysical store or books a million.
However if you want a special spell book, you should be the one to create it, not someone else.

to the person above Necronomicon (most commonly known book of this name is the fictional by love craft who loved the name) is not a spell book no matter wwhat the hype given to it (evil dead series still awesome) it is a book of death and rites. there are 4 books of the dead and 3 nNecronomicon however what is considered a real spell book, Tome of Gaia written in the 1700's people were burned alive for speaking the books name. for More modern day looks onto these old passages i recommend the author Isaac Bonewits he's devoted his life to reading and gathering what he considers real spells, I believe his book Real Magic is available. ive never read it myself but its been recommended to me many times now.

Your chances of finding a real spell book is almost impossible... As for those that are still in existence they are in private some very private collectors... And no amount of money or favors will make them turn over their books to anyone......... The only real chance you would have of getting to read one would be by becoming someones apprenticed and that would be like having the impossible dream become reality... For those people are so few like one one in every billion of this earth population..................................................

To answer your question: The best REAL spellbook is one that you create for yourself. If you create the spell/ritual it will be more potent. Check out a teenage coven in your area (yes, they do exist) to begin to learn more.
