Is the law of attraction true? whatever you think about happens?

In my previous question, someone preempted this and said, “No.” I beg to differ; an atheist can use stem cell research or genetic engineering to invent ‘good’ technology whereas a Christian is limited by their beliefs like an overloaded cart limits a pony and this is only one such example. Are there any others?

"You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind. The first man that committed the odious crime of killing one of his brethren will be cursed the longest of any one of the children of Adam. Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put a termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which is the flat nose and black skin. Trace mankind down to after the flood, and then another curse is pronounced upon the same race -- that they should be the "servant of servants;" and they will be, until that curse is removed." - Brigham Young, President and second 'Prophet' of the Mormon Church, 1844-1877 - Quotation from Journal of Discourses

"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God is death on the spot. This will always be so." - Brigham Young, President and second 'Prophet' of the Mormon Church, 1863, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 10, p. 110./

I find that the word atheist causes people to go into apoplectic fits here in Texas. I have been trying to come up with a different word. What do you think of naturalist, implying that I only believe in the natural, not the supernatural?

It's the religious people who do, and aren't their religions supposed to teach love and tolerance? They're just contradicting themselves. So what if we don't believe? At least you don't have to worry about us murdering children to send them to heaven or committing acts of terrorism.

I was thinking about how German sounds like grunting, French like a girl sighing over a crush, and Japanese sounding like someone having an orgasm (hehe.)

So what does English sound like to someone who doesn't speak it natively? It's been bugging me!

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

So far people seem content to out source our myths to off planet UFO sources.
No more underground or water based creatures, or home grown divergences from the tree of life.
Do you agree?

if these Prophet's are from God.
Is there anyway we can tell for sure, that these Prophet's are from God.
This is something I would really like to know,
as I have thinking about it. Have the Prophets ever made any mistakes, or are they always on the ball with their Prophecies.

If so, what problems specifically?

If not, why not?

Why should a person feel compelled to abandon the Greek gods, or the Egyptian gods, or the Viking gods, or the four winds in favor of Allah, or Yahweh, or Jesus Christ?

Humanity faces the same fundamental problems today with its "new gods" as it did 3000 years ago with the old gods.

Nothing has been solved, so why the change?

baptism is dying to self, and rising as new creature. your babies are innocent. this is something you do once you have giving your life to God. let them become old enough to understand what it means.

I am an Advanced Open Water Diver going for my Rescue Divers certificate. I don't care about earning a living while diving but I do want to volunteer as a Rescue Diver when certified.

Where do I go or who do I see about offering my experience? Fire or police? Who would I contact?

My 13 year old nephew brought up the fact that everyone in this world is racist to a point. When I told him he was wrong, he asked me if I would be more nervous if I was in a dark alley at 2 am if the guy walking up to me was black or Spanish rather than white. I said yes, BUT, there's a difference between fear & racism, he said it's pretty much the same, is he right?
