I am atheists but lately i have been reading more about this religion and i found it interesting to read about. However i only read about the way it was created and a little bit about loki hating thor and stuff like that. But does anyone know stories of this religion because they seem interesting and i liked the idea of Gods being mortal so im pretty sure the stories would be interesting to hear, especially battles.

What is the point if the woman is on birth control?

This questionis asked because I hear that the scripture teaches that the man will be punished if his sperms hit the floor.

"in the atmosphere and in the various water basins of the primitive earth, many destructive interactions would have so vastly diminished, if not altogether consumed, essential precursor chemicals, that chemical evolution rates would have been negligible. The soup would have been too dilute for direct polymerization to occur. Even local ponds for concentrating soup ingredients would have met with the same problem. Furthermore, no geological evidence indicates an organic soup, even a small organic pond, ever existed on this planet. It is becoming clear that however life began on earth, the usually conceived notion that life emerged from an oceanic soup of organic chemicals is a most implausible hypothesis. We may therefore with fairness call this scenario `the myth of the prebiotic soup.'"

They don't really realize it yet? I mean why fight back so hard unless there is something in you that reaches out to it? What are your thoughts? Try to be nice.

Shouldn't we be honest, and admit that the expression is just an excuse we use when we are caught having faith in a stupid belief?

This is quoted as precicely as possible: "I don't follow any religion, including yours; but I do respect all religions, except yours; It don't make any difference which one you follow, just that you follow it, now go away"
I can't give the name of the person quoted, as I have not been given permission to do so (I may be a jerk, but am not THAT much of one).

In a trillion billion septendecillion(its a real number, look it up) millenium what value has your being alive given to the universe.

If there is no God and we are all going to return to the dust from which we came (cosmic dust), why live.

Or why value anyone elses life. If you value your existance and there is no God why not make every effort to better your quality of life and those you care about around you?

Please do not say "well its obvious that we should care about our fellow man...blah blah, blah, ect., ect."

If there is no God then there is no purpose or morality in the universe other than that which you impose on it through your own subjective outlook on life.

I have seen one person on here gain "thousands" of points and get chosen for best answers within a short period of time yet this person is regarded as knowledgeable and "honest ?" There is not way to gain that many points in a month, and have found out it IS possible to cheat on ANSWERS. What do you think ?

I would love to believe in a higher existense (god) but, it's extremely difficult to believe in a hell, and if I don't believe in a hell, where would all of serial killers, etc. go? If they haven't repented. I just can't imagine eternal torture.

If God created time, then God is not subject to time. If time does not exist in heaven, then am I already there?

Stick with me....my grandfather died 15 years ago...my father died two years ago...if eternity knows no time, did my father arrive in heaven the same time my grandfather did...and if so, am I there too?

I have noticed that most churches today do not preach or teach much eschatology anymore

Does anyone know why?

Can it be that most churches NO LONGER believe in end time events or end of the world Bible messages?

Your view?
