Could it be that all (Sorry, MOST) Christians keep trying to psychoanalyze the atheists, thinking that they really deep down NEED God, even when they don't? Don't you Christians realize that pretty much all atheists aren't interested in being converted EVER?
No, atheists aren't "reaching out" or "searching" for the supernatural. For the most part, they seach for the truth--through science or just through intuition. Some do not understand Christianity by any extent of the imagination, and thus resort to making challenging, semi-rude questions. Some just like to debate. Others simply like being rude.
Everyone is different, and atheists are a very wide-ranging spectrum of different people. I'm guessing you disliked the way I turned the question back on you? You also probably disliked how I insinuated that most of the Christian population all think the same way? Just FYI, I don't really think that. The point I'm getting to is every atheist is different, just like every theist is different.
SOME atheists like fighting and hate it when people disagree. SOME Christians are like that as well--usually just as much (sometimes less, sometimes more) than the atheists. Neither are really "looking for something" more than a good argument.

I'm pretty sure this is a variation of Why are there atheists in R&S, so I say to you "Cheers." The only thing that reaches out to me is the urge to correct people's misinformation and prove their propaganda about other religions and beliefs (like evolution and the Catholic faith) to be false. I don't for a second delude myself into believing these people actually want to learn the truth, but I think others viewing the question should have the opportunity to be enlightened.
Why are some Christians so ignorant that they need an atheist to explain the beliefs of a Christian denomination to them?
EDIT- I know you are not Christian, you are Muslim. I have also shot down many Christians attempting to discredit the religion of Islam with lies, so you're welcome. You make an assumption about most atheists on here and then tell us not to make assumptions about you- classic.

LOL - amazing - shall we change your wording around, replace atheist with christian?
Your definition of whining is interesting - I see much more from other religious folks than I ever do fromt he atheists. After all, they aren't the ones posting that others were mean to them.
Amazingly, the most nasty words seem to come out of Christian and other religious mouths(and fingers).
Only thing I look for on here is some amusement and actual opportunity to help others. But stuff like this makes the amusement wear awfully thin, and I don't see how this question is at all helpful.

I would say this is another example of wishful thinking.
Atheists are here for several different reasons. We are all to various degrees frustrated, fed up, or even angry that organized religion has such a strangle hold on our society & culture.
Some of us whine because it gets tiresome answering the same old logical fallacies over and over again. In fact, your exact question is asked here at least several times a week, sometimes several times a day.
Try to use your empathy for a moment. Pretend that you lived in a culture that thought it was a sin to eat chocolate, and you knew that chocolate tastes good, is rich in antioxidants, and causes no harm if consumed in moderate amounts. You decide to try to educate people that eating chocolate is not a sin, but they just become dogmatic, and insist that you will go to hell for even telling others that eating chocolate is not a sin. How would you feel?

I'm not an Atheist or a Mono-atheist, like you. I sit and read the whines and they are much more often Christian whines for attention than Atheist whines for justice.
As to Muslims. I try not to verbally beat up on the mentally challenged.
If you want theTruth.....Ask a Pagan.

I'm fighting back because I want people to see all groups equal. I'm not whining either. I'm not looking for anything except the truth and no I don't want to be preached to or try to be converted.
Honestly, I'm trying to be nice.

No. Why "fight back so hard?" Well, if you really want to know:
==================== (written by me)
This should give you an idea on why atheists care about religion in general: (source 1)
To summarize it, we care because theists have proven time and time again that they are incapable of keeping their faith to themselves, instead trying to impose it on everyone else, atheists included. This even goes as far as attempting to make their beliefs LAW, thereby literally FORCING everyone to follow their 'rules.' Many atheists are also justified in saying something like "you started it by calling us sinners and condemning us to eternal punishment and suffering just for not having the same beliefs as you."
You show me a Christian or any other theist who keeps his or her faith personal (as faith is supposed to be), and I'll show you a person I (an atheist) have no beef with. I may think their beliefs are ridiculous, but that is my right. I'm sure every Christian here thinks Scientology is ridiculous.
One more point--I don't think religion should be given a 'free pass' when it comes to criticism. Unlike race or hair color, religion is, in the end, a conscious decision. To fault someone for this decision (if you think they've made a bad decision) is NOT comparable to faulting someone for their race, gender, age, or anything like that.
If someone came up to you and told you that they were absolutely sure that aliens teamed up with ghosts to cause 9/11, you'd think they were a fool, I'm sure. But theism has no evidence nor logical foundation either, hence the term "faith." Please do not forget why it is called "faith." A theist has every reason to EXPECT criticism the moment they start pretending that their faITH is faCT. If someone tries to act like their faith is factual, then people will start demanding evidence, because those are the rules of the game, after all. Things just don't spontaneously become facts--they have to be supported with evidence.
P.S. Less mature theists will claim that if atheists frequent some spot on the Internet about religion, then it's because they're secretly questioning their atheism etc. (does this sound familiar? *frowns*), but if atheists mostly _avoid_ that same spot, it's because they claim atheists are afraid/unable to challenge a theist's arguments. They've got something bad to say no matter what we do--wouldn't you agree that's unfair?
