Shouldn't we be honest, and admit that the expression is just an excuse we use when we are caught having faith in a stupid belief?

If only you could understand but since you asked, I'll just explain. God does work in mysterious ways, in ways that you couldn't even imagine. If we put our full trust in God, He will provide. If you were really poor with nothing to eat and trusted God with your whole heart, He will provide your needs. You may not believe that because you never had that experience. I just wish that you one day you will experience that. =)

You take it that way. I don't. I have always accepted that statement as meaning that the person saying it doesn't know. Apparently you need the obvious stated instead. Ok!
