Sorry, but I wanted to e-mail you about this. I noticed one person in particular who has an extremely high best answer percentage, but I have seen him make some really stupid posts, over and again, while having very little of what one would call perception or wisdom. And I mean the kind that even his confederates wouldn't vote for. Yeah, I think there are a few around. Wish there was some way to find them out.
E-mail me so I can get into this a little more, as it is really more of a conversation topic.
Jack and other candidates, your credibility would be much greater if your Q&A history was accessible.

I don't get the points thing. Does anybody care really?
I mean I just answer quesitons like yours and get 2 points... and if you are really generous you choose my answer and falg me with ten points.. and then I go and vote for your answers and you get points and so do I ... and everyone is happy getting thumbs up... now if I could use some poitns to buy dinner, then that would be a differetn story for sure... As for cheating.. I dont know how you can cheat the way you say.. oen two account and then you have to ansewer twice as many questions well don't you?
Anyway, you seem pretty intelligent. I am sure you will give the points to the best answer. Have I mentioned that I like your avitar? :-)

I've had some people comment on how many points I've accumulated in so short a time with this account, but the simple fact of the matter is that I've managed it by pretty much living on here for the last month. I've answered some 700+ questions and had about 100 chosen as best answer. It hasn't hurt, either, that I was already known on here from my previous account, and this does make a difference: people do tend to appreciate answers from people they know.
And no, I've not cheated on any of it.
EDIT: Those of us who have had our accounts targeted by trolls all have are Q&A's private. Everyone on here knows me and will vouch for my credibility.

Seems to be a lot of activity around with folk breaking rules a lot of ways. But so far as I can tell, points are meaningless as are multiple IDs.
Probably there's a way the script kiddies have found to rack up points like a pinball machine. But why would anyone care?

There is a ton of point-gaming on here. Even between two people (not just one person with two or more accounts). Two people will get together and almost no matter what pick each others answer. I have seen it a bunch! And then they have a really high percentage of correct answers........

Most people dont do Answers for points. I have to admit I was pretty happy when I got to level 5 without suspension .. lets see if I can repeat that trick and make 6

Sure you can cheat and what do you have?
Is the world so competitive that even in an anonymous forum people have to win at all cost?
I've been called so spiritually minded that I'm no earthly good by family because I'm not competitive.

Well, sure, people can cheat on R&S. But, really, what difference does it make in the long run? People that have actual knowledge will find their niche. People that don't know anything will be discovered for the frauds that they are.

Another users points, TC status, etc, doesn't effect me at all. I have no problem with point gamers. If thats how they want to spend their time - whatever. It doesn't cost me a thing. It's not like the #1 contibutor gets a new car or anything.

That's something that person will have to live with, isn't it? The points aren't getting us any big reward, anyway.
I am proud to have gained every one of my points honestly.
