Many Christians ignore Jesus's teachings on tolerance and love. I believe in god and Jesus but do not consider myself a christian. The fundamentalist have done more damage to God's name than atheists could ever have done. They're their own worse enemy and don't realize it.Disagree with one of them and within seconds they'll be spewing their venom. Jesus must be weeping at whats being done and said in his name.

Jesus was not always warm and fuzzy. Have you read how he attacked false Jewish religious beliefs, especially of the Pharisees and Sadducees? Read Luke chapters 11 and 12 (I won't post it here for lack of space), and Matthew 23. There are some pretty harsh words there for people who WERE raised with correct theology!

Jesus wasn't shy about telling people when they were wrong about God. In one event, when He kicked the merchants out of the Temple (that the religious leaders had allowed in!) he even used a whip and violence! I'm NOT advocating violence, but I mention it since you want to recall Jesus' words and actions.

Love does not whitewash lies, or condone evil teaching. If you are looking for a blanket endorsement of your religion, find a politician who needs your vote. Those who believe in Christ will not agree with what you have been taught.

You are misquoting and misinterpreting what he said and what was said about him. Hmmm.

It is the duty of a Christian to point out the error in your belief system. And there are many. You feel attacked because you reject the truth. And are clinging to what you've been taught. But if you read the bible you should see that mormonism has added the Scriptures. Which is a big no-no.

Love you - yes.
Tolerate falsehood - no

Mat 23:13 But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven before men; for you do not enter, nor do you allow those entering to go in.
Mat 23:14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour the houses of widows, and pray at length as a pretext. Because of this you will receive more abundant judgment.
Mat 23:15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you go about the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte; and when he has become so, you make him twofold more a son of Hell than yourselves.

Joh 8:42 Then Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I went forth and have come from God. For I have not come from Myself, but that One sent Me.
Joh 8:43 Why do you not know My speech? It is because you are not able to hear My Word.
Joh 8:44 You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45 And because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.

Yep, good old meek and mild Jesus, loving everyone. I am sorry, but you do not know the Jesus of the Bible, the Jesus that is God, very God, from the eternity past through all eternity.

The Bible says

Revelation 22:18

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Revelation 22:19

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

No one should add to or take way from the word of GOD, the Mormon's have invented a whole new book. How WRONG is that?

chessterguy! For your info, a Christian is a person not only a follower of Christ but a person who believes in His divinity and that is the Trinity! Mormons believes in polytheist and not in trinity. I hoped you understand the differences! Yes! And not forgetting the Nicene creed!!!

Mormons are continually trying to convert the world. The world respectfully requests they knock it the hell off. A conversation with a mormon ALWAYS contains a question "Are you a member of th the church of..." yada yada yada. David O McKay is probably the most to blame for this insidious "Every member a missionary.." bullcrap.

Plus the church bears every definition of a controlling cult, whether the members recognize it or not. The rest of the world sees it clearly.

So, please accept this with extreme prejudice: Bugger off, mate.

If you are being attacked by Christians for your Christian beliefs then they are no Christians. I will say that they're are things in Mormonism that I believe to be completely untrue, then again I find problems with them all, thus I refer to myself simply as a believer.

Jesus never taught that loving someone was to accept their false beliefs. 1 Corthians 13 says that "love does not rejoice in unrighteousness but rejoices with the truth."
