whats wrong with atheist? it describes what all of our basic belief is down to the "t". naturalist can be used by people that believe in some sort of deity also by saying their god(s) are a part of nature and are therefor not supernatural. or people who say nature is their god thus anything that is done by nature, no matter how absurd, is natural. i find if a word can cause a person to go into a fit of anger then keep it. its their problem not ours.

I think naturalist, I think of environmentalists (which can be a good thing, but I also think of nudists. Perhaps realists? Kind of like the sound of that one. Of course that might give them fits, too. Oh well, they seem to like having their fits.

naw naturalist makes you think of trees and things of that nature... would just imply we like nature. Just pop them a happy pill and send them on their way. It's easier.

Let them have apoplectic fits. If they ever get tired of it, they can *gasp* try to LEARN something about atheism instead of constantly jumping to the wrong conclusions. I wouldn't hold my breath, however. Most people LOVE to jump to the wrong conclusions.

I'd suggest The Evangelical Church of Atheism.

No, that might get people thinking we're environmental people. Maybe "In God we Don't Trust". I don't know.

I don't care what it is, as long as people can spell it.
