Carefree ask a question of being questioned by elder's for her sin of adultery. She said some question's are too strong and personal to answer. Now my second question is; if I am really thinking of taking a Bible Study and I pursue to follow through; and than decide to become a baptize member do I need to confess ALL my sins before I am baptize? Before a person is baptize are their sin's not accountable to that religion? It's like you get baptize and you become "whole" again with no past sin's like the "lady they wanted to stone"? Because Jesus did not ask her about her sin, but asked her if anyone condemned her. Her answer was "no Lord." Then Jesus told her, "I also do not condemn you, go and sin no more." I mean, you know what I'm getting at?

My parents are both athiests, but I refuse to take that title because I have nothing wrong with religion, I have just never participated in one. I'm 16 and have never been baptized and I've never gone to church (other than just to look at architecture). I believe in God I guess, but I really know nothing about him and I don't even know the whole Jesus story or anything. Will I go to hell for my ignorance?

I don't want to convert to anything, I like my free Sundays.

Is it because the bible says in Matthew 24 verse 9 that they will be angry?

Here is the last verse in the sequence:

6 And he said to his men, “The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD.”

This was the incident in the cave when David spared Saul's life. He spared Saul's life at least twice.

My question is this:
Even though the Lord's Spirit left Saul for his disobedience, why do you suppose David still considered him (Saul) to be God's anointed?

Does the same apply to today's anointed leaders when they fail and step down from the pulpit?

When you say "God" people automatically think big dude in the clouds, fantasy, magic, illusion, BS etc. But what people need to realize is that God is something that's inside every human being. It's dare I say not a large omnipotent force, but rather, something feral inside all of us that extrapolates into a larger idea. So when people try to push their "God" (be it Christian, Muslim, Shinto...) on other people they are threatened. That is why God is such a touchy subject. Everyone has a God to believe in and fight for, but it's just some people automatically associate the word "God" with Christianity, and then with organized religion. I think it's time we change the way the word is used, and come to terms with the fact that God cannot be ignored, because when you're on your death bed, even if you've been an atheist all your life, you will pray to God. So, please, stop being so stubborn and just figure out what God is to YOU. Then we can stop those radical right wing SOB's.

i was just wondering what everyone thought.

i think i would rather be called wrong, than told i was going to hell

even the worst type of atheist can't tell me i'll burn forever in a pit of fire

everyone knows what christians did to pagans, stole holidays, burned them to death in public , or tried just to plain out steal their land and kill them off.

or would the christian just end up liking us because we have a religion to believe in

Well not the whole book. I have some concerns regarding Revelations. How can there be a world with one government and one religion? That sounds absurd to me. Also, John of Patmos is thought to be the one who wrote Revelations. Nero was the Roman emperor at the time. John of Patmos was exhiled to a remote island where he wrote the Book of Revelation. It just so happens the number 666 coincides with emperor Nero. I have also read that many of the items John talks about could be related to the politics of Rome at the time. Maybe this book is not divine and only takes on the Roman government and what John of Patmos would like to have happen. Why is this book in the Bible? What justification is there? I am confused. Please help me. Thank you.

My first interview was a phone interview and I was invited back for a second phone interview at the end of the call. At the second interview, I was told I should come down and visit the City (I live out of town) and meet people I would be working with. The HR recruiter was on the second interview call and told me she would call me back right away or "first thing" the following morning.

Today is the second day, morning has passed, and I have not heard back from her. How long should I wait to contact her? Is it impolite for her not respond when promised? Am I being too anxious because of what I was told? What could the hold up be?

I know she is busy, but some sort of response, such as I am waiting on xyz and will call you back in a week, would have been helpful.

PS. I hate interviewing and job searching. I am currently employed, but my wife and I are relocating shortly and that is why I am interviewing. Otherwise, I would work at my current job forever.
