...when dealing with those who raise questions about your being LGBT (including the religious queries)?

Jim J, I don't equate political correctness to reporting. Offensive posts, yes. I really don't know who your gf is anyway :-P

I'm not sure what PC is. I can only be myself. I use terms some people don't like to refer to myself and my friends. I won't let anyone tell me how to act or think. Unless a friend asks me not to use a term, I'll say what I want.
My gf has asked me not to use a certain word or two and I respect and love her, so I don't use those words around her.

(hey buddy! tell your gf I say hello.)

It really depends. I don't think about political correctness; I think about what's necessary for me and the questioner. I tend to just tell my truth. If my opinion isn't shared by many LGBTs, I let the questioner know that, and I seldom claim to speak for everyone. Sometimes a person just needs a very basic answer; sometimes they have follow-up questions. And sometimes what they need is for me to suggest that they have sex with a household appliance or power tool, because they are so rude! :-)

Could you possibly clarify more? I'm not sure about the context. Politically correct about using LGBT terms or something else? Sorry, I just don't understand.

I try to always be politically correct with everything, not just LGBT concerns. I feel I have to correct the ignorant so they won't spread their misinformed, sometimes bigoted views to the less informed.

I don't outright try to offend anyone by any means, but I am not always PC, unless I am in a professional environment. I think PC today is over and beyond what it ever should be. Nobody has a thick skin anymore.

I am not politically correct about much of anything, as I see that as a contradiction of terms. But...I usually mange to be polite, in response to any question asked directly of me.

I don't claim to be politically correct and I do own-up to my attitudes. If people want to engage in a civil conversation where two people can have opposing perspectives, I welcome that. I have major issues with people who make their beliefs and attitudes into my law.
