My parents are both athiests, but I refuse to take that title because I have nothing wrong with religion, I have just never participated in one. I'm 16 and have never been baptized and I've never gone to church (other than just to look at architecture). I believe in God I guess, but I really know nothing about him and I don't even know the whole Jesus story or anything. Will I go to hell for my ignorance?
I don't want to convert to anything, I like my free Sundays.

Hey girl. It sucks that both your parents are atheists. Cause your already missing out on so much. Jesus can offer you so much. In this lifetime there will not be one min. that you will fill unloved. If only I had him there when I was your age. He has all the answers to all the trials that are going on in your life. Don't fall for all the BS these people are giving you. I am sure you have a friend who is a christian. Ask to go to church with her. There is so much you can learn. Well OK sometimes church can be boring at your age. Maybe try going to CBN.com lots of stuff there. Or you tube and type in Jesus videos are a lost easier to pay attention to. But yes unfortunately Christians do believe that you will go to hell when you die If you don't accept Christ as your lord. There is a prayer if you ever want to: Just ask for God to forgive your sins, tell him you believe that Jesus died for you and the sins of the world. And that you accept the Lord Jesus Christ into your life. Sorry don't want to push you. Come to Jesus when you are ready. He loves you. And believe it or not he is waiting for you to say this prayer. Oh and hey by the way some churches are fun. And will have a group of teens your age you wont even have to be around the adults. And they try to make it as unboring as they can. Good Luck in life.

it is good to see you are open to religion.your Sundays can be free too check out a local Seventh Day Adventist Church.the true Sabbath is actually Saturday but don't take my word for it read for yourself.the King James Version of the Holy Bible.remember ignorance is no excuse especially when the truth is right there.good luck.

You will not go to hell in your ignorance.
You will be judged by your own actions.
Please, answer the following questions honestly:
1. Have you ever told a lie?
2. Have you ever taken anything that wasn't rightfully yours to take?
3. Have you ever looked at another person with sexual desires? (Jesus said that if you even look at another person with lust, you are already guilty of adultery in your heart).
4. Have you ever been so angry at someone (for something they did to you, for instance), that you just hated them, or wished they were dead? (Again, Jesus said you are already guilty of murder in your heart.)
If, in all honesty, you had to say "yes" to these (only 4 of the 10 commandments), you would have to see yourself as a lying, thieving, adulterous murderer.
Considering that Scripture also says that when you break even the smallest law, you're guilty of all, do YOU think you can stand before a holy God and declare that you are innocent?
Like the rest of the entire human race (except for One), you will be held guilty, and the penalty will be carried out.
But, the GOOD news is that God doesn't want this for you, so He sent Jesus to pay the penalty FOR you. Jesus died in your place. He died FOR you. Also, vicariously speaking, He died AS you. He was brutally beaten and crucified as payment for YOUR sins (ie crimes against God).
But because He payed that penalty for you, you now have the liberty to come to God, ask for His forgiveness, as you acknowledge and repent (turn away from) your sins, and make Him the Lord (boss) of your life.
When you do that, He will forgive you, cleanse you, give you a new heart, and adopt you into His Forever Family to live with Him forever in heaven.
The ball (as they say) is now in your court. What will you do? God will not force anything on you. You have to make that decision for yourself. You can reject His Love offer, or you can go running into His arms.
I pray that you will find reconciliation with a loving God who wants also to be your Heavenly Father.

Well if u don't want to convert you'll just be an athiest.
But all you have to to enter the Kingdom of God is to say this prayer.
"Dear heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending your only son Jesus to die on the cross to save me from sin.
Please forgive me of my sins, I'm sorry for them.
I believe that Your the one true God and your Son died Jesus Christ died on the cross.
I want to be with you in heaven, and have eternal live with you.
Please come into my heart and change me to be a better person.
Thank you Lord.
In Jesus Christ name I pray Amen."
Let Jesus come into ur heart he'll change ur live forever seriously.
He wants to get to know you.
By praying that prayer you will be with God and Jesus one day.
Hopefully you mean it, and ur in my prayers.
By the way I'm not some old person I'm only 13. =)

If i was god i wouldn't what religion you are or if you didn't have one as long as you have a good idea. Personally I'm not athiest but I don't go to church, I celebrate god in my own ways. Do what makes you happy.

No ma'am. Hell is made up to strike fear into people. It's like the boogeyman. If we had no concept of a down side to afterlife people wouldn't care what they did here. In my eyes everyone, regardless of beliefs, will die and go to Heaven. The only thing you have to do is ask yourself questions that are hard to explain about God and the afterlife. Figure out the answer that best suits you and keep those answers for your beliefs. No one is wrong in their beliefs.

Hell is a Western religion concept, and if you don't identify with any religion, I don't see why you'd buy into the whole hell thing either. I take pride in not having to answer to anyone, and if you don't feel that converting to a religion is right for you, then it ISN'T. You have control over your own person. Believe what you want to believe, and don't take crap from anyone.

According to the bible (lower case intended) unless you worship Jesus Christ as the savior, it makes no difference how good a person you are, or anything. You will go to hell. Yes, honey. You will. God created you in his image and has a plan for your life. If you fail to heed his call you will certainly dead found dead in your sins and go to hell. God offers you a life plan and eternal life. Without him you have no life or substance of any kind since he is the source of life.
