I've never once thought that. And I wouldn't accept even if they did. Money brings a whole host of different problems that I don't want.
I am nice to homeless people because I realize that they are people too, and had I made just a few different life choices it could be me in their place. Having said that I don't offer them money, but I will offer them a meal or transportation to a clinic / shelter.

I generally don't give to beggers because I live in a prosperous country with one of the worlds most booming economies. I believe in the Chinese proverb:
'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.' Giving money to beggers doesn't help anyone.

i'm nice to people because i like them and not because of anything that they may do for me.
in my country begging is not allowed, but there are "professional" panhandlers from neighboring countries that take advantage of the soft hearted.There are some that pose as Buddhist monks soliciting money, when monks are not suppose to ask for money.

they are always in disguise! all they have to do is go to the food depository if they are hungry. they dont have to beg there.

No, I just offer a meal, not money. If they are hungry, they accept, if not, it's a scam.
