To answer this with the bible, since the question is biblical....
Cain and Abel were not the only children, they had many, both sons and daughters.

Cain was the first child of Adam and Eve recorded in Scripture (Genesis 4:1). His brothers, Abel (Genesis 4:2) and Seth (Genesis 4:25), were part of the first generation of children ever born on this earth.

Even though only these three males are mentioned by name, Adam and Eve had other children. In Genesis 5:4 a statement sums up the life of Adam and Eve -- "And the days of Adam after he had fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters." This does not say when they were born. Many could have been born in the 130 years (Genesis 5:3) before Seth was born.

2 arguments for this:
1. Adam and Eve were not necessarily the only two people that God created. Most people think that Adam and Eve were the first ones created. There is no way for us to know if they are or not, because if you follow the bible: Gen1:27 says "So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them". That was the 6th day. It doesn't say that this man was Adam, and it also mentions female here on the 6th day.

Then, in Gen 2:7-8, God created a man from the dust of the ground, and placed him in Eden. Then, in versus 22, Eve is created from Adam. We know that they were in Eden.

The first mention seems like a general statement, that God created man and female. The second verse is specific.

This doesn't mean that God didn't create other humans. People assumed that Adam and Eve were the only ones that were created.

The first mention of another person on Earth, other than Adam and Eve's bloodline is Cain's wife.

Cain could have went out and met another woman that God created from outside the garden of Eden.

2nd Argument: The bible could have not mentioned the fact that Adam and Eve had other kids. The rules of marrying family was not the same back then. Cain could have married his sister.

I personally think that it's the first argument, but because we can only go on what the bible says, it's possible for the 2nd argument to be correct.

The Adam and Eve story is about a specific family lineage leading up to the birth of Christ. A person would have to be dense to think that there were not other humans created on the same day or around the same time as them. And, the book of Genesis backs that up. Cain took a wife, so there had to be other people on the earth. We can't limit God. The Bible says Adam was the first man and that Eve was the first woman. It doesn't say that God didn't create 100's more humans on the same day, does it? Peace.

Adam and Eve had more than 2 sons. Only 3 sons were named in the Bible (Cain, Abel, and Seth) but they had many sons and daughters. (Gen 5:4)

Gen 5:4 And the days of Adam after he had fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters.
eight hundred years is a loooong time to father maaannnyyy sons and daughters. at the time is was not considered incest, the gene pool was much "purer" back then.

Well, one of their sons killed the other, so there was only Cain, Eve and Adam left

They had three sons named in Genesis, Cain, Abel, and Seth. Cain slew Abel.

Cain went to the land of Nod and married a daughter of the people there.

DOH! I sh!t you not, that's the story. One of the first inconsistencies / absurdities in the Bible.

They had other sons and daughters not listed but mentioned in Genesis. Plus Moses is summarizing oral stories a bit as he is thousands of years removed from that time.
