The article has an interesting quote:

Though skeptics may argue that God lives only in the mind of the faithful, Newberg suggests that the opposite conclusion is equally valid: "If there is a God, it makes perfect sense that He would create a way for us to communicate with Him."

Here is a contradiction in the Bible no one has ever been able to give a decent explanation of. In the book of Genesis 1, it says GOD created (in this order) the sky, earth, light, water, plants sun, moon, stars, fish, animals, and lastly man.
In Genesis 2, it says GOD created (in this order) Earth, heavens, Adam (man), plants, animals, and Eve. Many people have told me the Qur'an is from man and not from GOD because of contradictions like this, but the Bible has just as many. I have many others but I will list them one at a time.

Ok...there is no REAL statement in the Bible that the Rapture will happen. There are vague suggestions, but nothing that says it will.
I know that an Evangelical Minister in the late 1800's believed that the Rapture would in fact happen. He even tried to predict it...and we know how that turned out. But...the long held belief that it would happen has continued. It is in many Christian teachings.

What I want to know, is that do YOU personally think it will happen, or do you think that it's wishful thinking (lack of a better word), so that Christians won't have to experience the horrible rein of the anti-Christ?

I'm not opening this up for discussion or attacks....just your opinion...and not one that someone else told you to believe....

I am watching The View and they were saying that they don't know which Democrat has the best chance to run for and win the Presidency because the favorites are barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. They said they don't know if the country is more racist or sexist and that will decide who runs for President. I have thought of this before. There are people who are still prejudece against Black people and others who cannot accept that a woman can hold a position of power. Of course there are the hardcore ****holes who will tell you exactly who they dont like but there are plenty of others who seem level headed but you find out they are still uncomfortable with their female boss or the new African American neighbors that just moved in next door. What do you think? Do you think we are able to elect someone who on the outside appears totally different than any other president we have had? They are all politicians so on the inside they are all the same, lol.

PS.= Do you fold on a fold...if so how many times????

Thanks guys

There is this local group that I'm in LOVE with and I've only gotten to see them a couple of times. They're going to be really close by at a town festival, but I have no one to go with. I have the best time seeing this group and don't want to miss out. Is it weird to have my mom drop me off so I can see them by myself? (I don't know the driving directions that well.) My mom said people "don't go to concerts alone" but I really, really don't want to miss them. What do you think?

He never had a father or mother... he never came into this world the way every other human being except EVE came... ADAM and EVE are more fantastic than any other human regarding their creation don't you agree... they had no mother and father everyone else did... even Jesus was born through birth and called out son and father Adam had no father ... did we all forget about Adam and Eve our parents? OUR TRUE MOTHER AND FATHER! Are they not more fantastic than those who you worship today besides the Lord of course.

Again with the falling numbers of men not entering into the Roman Catholic priesthood (which I am a Catholic) shouldn't women be given the opportunity to become a Roman Catholic priest? I have seen it in other churches like the Anglican Church where women have been ordained priests and the numbers in the Anglican church has risen I don't any differnece if a woman is ordained a priest in the Catholic church or not.

Jesus said that hell was real. Jesus spoke about hell more often that He spoke about heaven. And if Jesus, as the perfect Son of Man, said that it is real, then it must be. If you are going to discard Jesus’ teachings about hell, then you must also discard His teachings about everything else

Those who are living in paradise cannot see and are not aware of those who are being tormented. This only makes sense as it would give no one pleasure to see anyone tormented for all eternity.
So Paradise is one with GOD..Hell is Seperation from GOD

Where do you want to live for eternity?

Sometimes I cant even walk out of my house with out getting cat-called or other things such as car honks, whistles, or other lewd guestures. This even happens when I am walking with my my husband! Have they no reapsect? And the majority of all this unwanted attention comes from mexican men. I am not trying to be raciest or say that all hispanics are like this, but they really are the majority of ones that do these kinds of things. Once when I was driving, I was being followed home by a car of hispanics. I kept trying to get away, but they kept following, so I drove to the police station and then they got the hint and left me alone. I am just so tired of all of it. Does anything like this happen to anyone else? What are your stories/opinions.
Oh, and also I dont do anything to get this unwanted attention, I dont dress slutty, I mostly wear long skirts and t-shirts.

Don't you know that the Church, centuries ago, developed the first institutions of higher learng? ...developed the first hospitals? ....funded some of the greatest artwork of the ages? What has Islam given us besides 9/11? What has atheism given us besides Castro and Stalin? What is wrong with you people that attack Christianity? Have your minds become so twisted that you don't know the difference between right and wrong anymore?

It seems a familar theme, that many people after going through a rough time in their lives, end up going to church and finding Jesus to be their Lord & Savior. I was just wondering how many people here, turned to a different source. How many people became Jews, or Muslims or Hindu or Buddhist etc...
You don't have to say what your lifestyle was before you converted or refound your religion just wondering, how many decided to be a non-Christian.

When Arabs were the first outside enslavers of African people? They imported and exported African slaves all around the ancient world, created eunuchs by cutting off the entire genitalia of little boys for the purposes of homosexual sex-slaves, and even today, in places like Sudan and Mauritania, they still run the black slave trade all throughout Saudi and other Muslim countries.

I note many of them in my family (converted muslims) are quick to talk about the "white man" and Christians, but the Christians freed their slaves here in America and the British colonies while the Muslims still had it going on...still to this day.

Also, I'd like to know how some feel Islam is the "Black" man's religion? How so? Has anyone researched the pagan roots of most African tribes PRE Islam? Most tribes were Animists and worshipped the Ancestors and a Supreme Being or deity.

Just curious?

The reason why I am asking this is because priest numbers in the catholic church has been falling for a number of years and something has to be done to boost the numbers or the church will die. I think allowing a priest to marry isn't taking anything away from the church or its parish I am a catholic and proud and I have no objections to my local priest being married. In other churches other clergy are married and it works for their churches. Didn't I read somewhere that earlt on in the catholic church history catholic priest were allowed to marry. I maybe wrong. In fact in the eastern catholic have long since allowed married people to become priest why not the roman catholic church.
