God is given credit for destroying cities, flooding the entire Earth, and killing those who disagree with him.

Hitler is given credit for the holocaust of Jews in camps, as well as "death squads" around Europe.

The US government is given credit for the mass extermination of Native Americans, dropped the A-bomb on 2 cities, and the "war on terroism" in the Middle East.

Total death tolls:
GOD - 60+ Million in written history alone
HITLER - 6 Million in concentration camps, suspected 8-9 Million total
US GOVERNMENT - 1 Million+ Native Americans, 120,000 immediate deaths with the A-bomb, roughly 15,000 more from exposure, and 24,000+ Iraqi men, women and children so far.

Those who worship God ignore his murders because they feel they are somehow superior, and that God's killing is not murder.
Nazis ignore Hitler's murders because they feel they are somehow superior, and that their own killing is not murder.
Americans ignore the US government's murders for the same reason.

Set free from the fear of dying? Set free from sin and hell? Set free from the worries and anxieties of life? The only way to be set free is through Jesus Christ.....it amazes me the peace He gives once you are saved in Him--- the minute you believe and repent of sin, the minute you do this-- knowing you are forgiven, that Christ lives in you.....how He gives you a desire to seek Him, know Him-- to read the Bible with wanting His Spirit to teach you. It is like you have been given an everlasting parachute, that is keeping you from falling. And it is only through Jesus Christ. I would be completely lost with Him, would you?
I cannot imgaine not having Christ in my life....I know it would be scary to go through life without His salvation. That is why I am set free-- Set free from fear! Set free from hell! Set free from sin and death! For Jesus Christ, His grace is sufficient for me! "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God in Christ Jesus is everlasting life"- Romans 5

Marriage doesn't exist in Heaven.
Sex doesn't exist in Heaven.
Family doesn't exist in Heaven.
Some say you won't even have a body in Heaven.
Exploring the world isn't done anymore!
No more work or gardening or hiking or skiing or sailing.
All there will be to do, will be praising a Deity forever and ever!
So in reality we have the choice burn in hell or join a eternity choir!

Okay, we hear all the time about the psychology of theism, "they need a crutch," "they need a purpose," ...

But what about atheism? What do you believe to be the psychology behind atheism?

How (if at all) do you think men and women are inherently different emotionally, intellectually, artistically, spiritually, relationally, etc? Do you think there are certain qualities that are inherently "male" and certain traits that are "female"?

Also, in what kind of a religious environment were you raised, what are your current religious beliefs, and do you think that either of those influenced your view of differences between the genders?

Does anyone know of a good biblical devotion book for women? I want to get one so I can start doing daily devotions on my own- since I am not currently in a bible study. But I want a good solid biblical one, that has me reading God's word each day. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Christians have been waiting for Jesus to return for around 2000 years now. How much longer do you think they will wait before they finally come to the conclusion that he is not going to come back after all? 3000 years? 5000 years? 10000 years?

Or do you think that there will always be at least a few that will never give up? (Or until humans go extinct at least).

C'mon, you remember that first day of Jr. High when you had to shower with the other kids in gym class...no one talked about it, but YOU remember. It was a tough call, but maybe you thought what was going on in the OTHER locker room might be even better, so you chose STRAIGHT, sent in your warrenty card, and off you went...right?

If not, where do we get the idea that people CAN choose?

It is my understanding that the Roman Catholic church created this rumor that those who wear the symbol of protection and the elements (pentacle/pentagram) worship the devil. It was created to frighten and confuse Christians/Catholics. The rumor was created for control and out of ignorance. There is no devil in the Wiccan faith. Please...educate yourselves...we are no longer in the dark ages!

God: be there for perfect as your father in heaven is perfect.

Christian: we can not be perfect, I understand we need a saviour.

God: no one is rightous, NO, not one. No one seeks me, no one understands me.

christian: no one can be rightous, and no one can seek God and understand him.....gotcha God.

God: You all go your own way, and peace is not found. Missery and destruction are in your paths.

Christian: we have free will, yippy, the lord desires missey and destrustion in or ways, and peace can not be found....yippy.

God: your throat is an open sepulchre; with there tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips
whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
their feet are swift to shed blood.

Christian: must be full of curses, and to shed blood...gotta go my way becasue the ways of God are to mysteryous....must give Jesus a purpose on a cross to love me. Yippy.

or do you listen to God?

WHAT REALLY IS SEGREGATION??
i have posted many questions in the past few days about religion. im a christian, but im trying to see how other religions think. I dont think someone should be shunned or treated differently becasue their not a christian
What this Question is about, is what All people && ALL religions think about segregation.
MANY people post questions with the title "non-christians only" or "Athiests only!!" On the questions i put Non Christians only, everything was fine. People only answerd the question i had asked. THEN, the very first time i posted a question with the title "christians ONLY" i got many posts asking why i was segregating. One person said
"I'm not Christian, and that was highly rude of you to post a question on a public forum and ask only a select few. However, I forgive you...that's what Jesus would do, right?"
All i want to know is do you think thats right??
ANYONE CAN ASNWER THIS..but no matter what religion you are, do YOU think thats right?

Jesus in the age period 14-29

What are these many things that have not been recorded? One record that is glaringly missing is the period 14-29 years in the life of Jesus. One theory is that he went to India to be trained as a Buddhist.

The story of the Wise Men is surprisingly similar to the traditions of Buddhism, a religion 500 years older than Christianity. When a great Buddhist holy man (lama) died, wise men consult the stars and go on a long trek to find his incarnation. When he is found, he is taken from his parents when old enough and trained in the Buddhist faith. Could Jesus have been identified as an incarnation and taken to India?
