Who is the biggest tyrant: God, Hitler, or the US government?

God is given credit for destroying cities, flooding the entire Earth, and killing those who disagree with him.

Hitler is given credit for the holocaust of Jews in camps, as well as "death squads" around Europe.

The US government is given credit for the mass extermination of Native Americans, dropped the A-bomb on 2 cities, and the "war on terroism" in the Middle East.

Total death tolls:
GOD - 60+ Million in written history alone
HITLER - 6 Million in concentration camps, suspected 8-9 Million total
US GOVERNMENT - 1 Million+ Native Americans, 120,000 immediate deaths with the A-bomb, roughly 15,000 more from exposure, and 24,000+ Iraqi men, women and children so far.

Those who worship God ignore his murders because they feel they are somehow superior, and that God's killing is not murder.
Nazis ignore Hitler's murders because they feel they are somehow superior, and that their own killing is not murder.
Americans ignore the US government's murders for the same reason.

Murder is murder no matter WHO does it.

If you attempt to justify ANY murder you are a sadist.

My figures were off with the US killings of Native Amerians, turns out it was more along the lines of 20 Million. My apologies to the Native American community, this was not done to negate your plight whatsoever.

What are you actually asking? Or is this just a rant? It's pretty obvious that most people were killed in the name of "God", but then again, everything in your life is leading to death. Also the "US governments murders", would have to be divided into CIA murders, military murders, actual murders committed by congressmen/women, ect. I don't ignore their murders. Also I think there is a moral difference between murder and collateral damage, even though that line is blurred at the current point in time.

Actually yes, as there is no such thing as eternal life. You too are going to die.

I will say every one is innocent, all the three above.. You and me and even the other people in this tread. Everyone in this world. We cant just blindly say that US Govt. is doing something really bad. Because there were a lot of other cases in all the countries in this world. Terrorism. And terrorist think they are doing the right thing. Some people realize Religion is Mad.. Ofcourse that is a pure bullshit. But some others had a real faith in it. TO THEM, WHAT THEY DO IS RIGHT and they have their own JUSTIFICATION. May be that is true in their own perspective. And if we can think in their ‘angle’ even we may think. EVERYTHING THEY DO IS RIGHT.

But ultimately it’s the thoughts. Thoughts.
Even without any deliberate effort, we may think of a lot of things..! these thoughts will give us some knowledge and some beliefs and some faiths. These thoughts will make us do something.

We (people all living begins) is just a vehicle. And some one else is driving it. Some are as good as a Merc some are just a bicycle on this road. But the driver/rider is NOT you..!
The Brain/thoughts is riding you. So whom should we blame.???

I gree with you up until the blaming of God for murder and all that's screwed up in the world.

It's the simple thing to do I suppose, point the finger and yell at someone you percieve as some unseen force of evil you can't get back at.

But the reality of it is, God did not create war, extermination, genocide or any of that crap. He created man, you, me and everybody like us and gave us the gift of the will.
WE, you and I chose to create the hate and differences in people with political and religious ideas that sealed the fate of what we have become. i.e. selfish narrow minded, fearful, greedy creatures who would rather shoot first, ask later.
You want to blame somebody, sure, blame me, I will accept that. But If you can call yourself man, then yeah, take the blame also. It's the only choice that makes sense.

Yup, the world is pretty f'd up, I agree. Two rights make for a good place to be, two wrongs and you end up in a bad neighborhood! That's just the way it is.

Tyranny has existed throughout the history of man and prehistoric -man.... we know that even chimps--our closest living relative -- wage war on other bands of chimps.

Certainly in the name of God, more people have been killed than in the name of politics.... from stone age man, thru Rome, thru The Crusades, thru the Middle Ages, etc. But, one would have hoped that into the 21st century, we would learn that this is now a very tiny planet, crowded now with 6.5 billion souls, and that we as humankind need to protect and preserve it... and it needs to begin with not overtaxing it with our continuing exploding populations, and by this country's attempts to foist our style of government on other nations.... That doesn't seem to be happening.... The Catholic Church has proclaimed itself last month as the only true religion, and since the poorest half of the planet is Catholic, those people are doomed to 9-13 pregnancies per female and the government of the United States is the aggressor in invading sovereign countries. As the most powerful country on the planet, we deny poor third world countries the benefits of population control materials and information that we have, but will not share, yet we inoculate against polio, diphtheria, etc., those same populations so that they do not die of childhood diseases. The result is that they grow up and either starve to death, or join death squads.... ala Africa. In 1960, Tanzania had a population of 4 million. In 1993, when I was there, its population was 20 million. In Kenya, the average number of children born to a Kenyon woman was 9.

Are you stating that governments are corrupt? of course they are... Look at the Bush Administration. Are you stating that religions are self-serving? Of course they are.. And this surprises you why? Are you stating that religions are controlling? Sure they are...It is their self-assigned purpose..

Bottom line about it all--in politics and religion? It is always about money or power, or both.... has been historically, and always will be.

The cure? The world needs a benevolent dictator. Chances of that happening? Nil.
