It isn't necessarily the idea of the constant singing that bugs me, it's the idea of doing that with Pat Robertson forever that makes my skin crawl.

Led a good life once and existed in a heaven plane of existence. After an eternity a guide came to me and said it was time, perhaps time had stopped for me and begun again, don't know. The guide looked like Knight Hospitalar and I looked like a middle eastern cleric, I had been doing daily songs of praise to all creation when he appeared. I remember I was happier there but some primal force in me told me to return to the veil of tears. In the pre incarnation area, like a forrest of Old Europe, I was in a different human shell and was now guided by two luminous beings of pure love who told me I was not ordered to go, but I told them if it serve the God of all gods I must.
If I ever go back to my verdant gardens of jasmine and gentle breezes I will do as I always try to do, make my every action a prayer to the glory of all creation. I choose love, light and serving the Balance by protecting the peace.

Well, actually, the Bible says only 144,000 people will be brought to heaven from the earth to serve as Priests and Judges along with Christ.
Rev. 14:1-3: “I saw, and, look! the Lamb [Jesus Christ] standing upon the Mount Zion [in heaven; see Hebrews 12:22-24], and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. . . . And they are singing as if a new song . . . and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth.” And we know these are NOT natural jews of the 12 Tribes because: Rev. 7:4-8: “I heard the number of those who were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel: . . . Judah . . . Reuben . . . Gad . . . Asher . . . Naphtali . . . Manasseh . . . Simeon . . . Levi . . . Issachar . . . Zebulun . . . Joseph . . . Benjamin.” (These cannot be the tribes of natural Israel because there never was a tribe of Joseph, the tribes of Ephraim and Dan are not included in the list here, and the Levites were set aside for service in connection with the temple but were not reckoned as one of the 12 tribes. See Numbers 1:4-16.)
Those brought from the earth include his faithful apostles and probably many of the first century Christians. Rom. 8:14, 16, 17: “All who are led by God’s spirit, these are God’s sons. The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children. If, then, we are children, we are also heirs: heirs indeed of God, but joint heirs with Christ, provided we suffer together that we may also be glorified together.” (At the time this was written it was true that all who were led by God’s spirit were God’s sons whose hope was that they would be glorified with Christ. But this had not always been true. Luke 1:15 says that John the Baptizer would be filled with holy spirit, but Matthew 11:11 makes clear that he will not share in the glory of the heavenly Kingdom. So, too, after the gathering of the heirs of the heavenly Kingdom, there would be others who would serve God as followers of his Son and yet not share in heavenly glory.)
As for the rest, myself included, I plan on staying right here on the earth. I include myself in the 'great crowd which no man was able to number' and as David points out: Ps. 37:9, 11: “Those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. . . . The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”

And who made you decider of what everyone will do in heaven? Or whats possible in heaven for that matter. Besides, according to the good book, we'll only be there for a thousand years, the God creates a new paradise. (at least I think thats how it goes). Anywho, it sounds groovy to me.
Gotta be better than burning anyways.

wow, 'praising the lord' for eternity. 'scuse me does that not sound totally and utterly pointless? I like to think I have a bit more meaning and substance to my existence than sitting on a cloud playing a harp for eons could ever provide.
