Sumerian records. They're 5000 years old and therefore much older than the Bible; they tell the true story of Mankind from A to Z; the words of Lord EN.KI are by far the most fascinating story ever told.

Well according to the movie "The Great Story Ever Told", it was the story of Jesus. So its the Four Gospels in the Bible.

I can tell you some statistics. The number of copies of the Bible that have been sold and/or distributed free, certainly qualify for the highest number, considering all other books in the world. Check it out with Guinness Book of Records for further confirmation.

I prefer the Matrix trilogy myself... Same battle between good and evil, same savior motif, same fantasy...just a wee bit more believable.

We were speaking of fictional stories, right?? The Bible is a good one too, but hardly an original story... although, now that I think about it, the Bible does have much more soft core porn in it than the Matrix party/orgy scene in the second movie (which sucked, in my opinion...could have done without those ten minutes of my life being robbed....)

It is the way stories are told, not the story that makes them great! All stories come from Creation and Entertainment Energy. I like stories that involve my soul, my virtue and make me forget my troubles long enough to dream dreams about Forgive Affirmed Spirit.

Simple...that a perfect God would come down from heaven in the form of a sinless man and give His life for the eternal Salvation of sinners if we would receive Him. Doesn't get any greater than that!

"Greatest story ever told" is too subjective to really label. It is totally a matter of opinion, context, and definition.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

For one thing, the morality in it is vastly superior to that of the Bible.
