The ultimate energy is always the same Chamunda.
IN this Material manifested Universe, it is Maya ( Shakthi ), that is the Nature of the supreme male.
It is this shakthi, that gives rise to The three Gunas, and also empowers the Lord of these Three Gunas ( Sattva : Vishnu , Rajas : Brahma , Thamas : Shiva ) For management.
Hence this whole universe is nature ( feminine ) of the Master. So all sources draw energy from the master.
This is a detailed process, Prescribed in scriptures. In modern scientific Terms, It can be Accurately said, that The whole Maya and Her controlled Matter has the Fate as follows :
Maya Comes form the supreme, From his own body, as non-differentiable Force, as part and parcel, Only when the matter also comes out Form the lords energy, And the reason for this is So that the Maya can manage this matter, And than the process of Allocation Of Supreme Managers for this matter ( brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) happens and This is being managed.
When ti has to Go back to the Source, after its span, The Maya, after a Huge Devastation, Enters back her master. And the Matter is CONVERTED BACK AS ENERGY AND ENTERS THE LORD.
THIS IS LORDS BREATH. WHATEVER I EXPLAINED ABOVE, HAPPENS AT LORDS EVERY BREATH.
In fact, this is very complex, and i have tried to explain only how much possible in this small post, and also limited by my own capability to draw this matter how nicely i can and also limited.
We are all simple men and women like you Chamunda, not very different form u. At least i am not.

The Cosmic Force And Shiv-Shakti
Before creation took place there was nothing but a pervading consciousness that had no name. Creation was the result of manifestation of this pervading consciousness.
The first form in which the consciousness manifested was Adi Shakti, Gayatri or power. From her emerged everything else. Once the universe was created there was a need for super forces or energies to look after the governance of the world. To perform this role Adi Shakti manifested herself into the trinity: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

I'm not too sure if the ultimate energy is self-conscious or not but think of a new born baby. The infant has no care in the world while inside its mother's stomach. It is kept warm and feed and never sees or hears. The only thing going on in that head is that is discovers that it is not part of a universe, but it is the universe.
Soon after the baby is born, it learns that sometimes it is not feed when it is hungry and it is not played with when it wants because the parents are busy. From that, it learns that it is not the universe but part of it and realizes that it's arms and feet belong to them and not its mother's so the child now knows that it is not the whole but part of a whole that we call the Universe.
I hope this helped.

The ultimate Energy of the Universe is that of the mother Nature... or as you call it Mother Shakti... or Godess... or Allmighty. The self conscious is the one within the self that senses or feels the presence of that energy through which it derives the 'chetana' or the driving force of life. It is known that all beings derive energy from the Omnipotent ..Nature.

"Consciousness" cannot be something which is without but within yourself. Hence, the ULTIMATE ENERGY of the universe is indeed SELF-CONSCIOUS.
What we need to do is dive deep within ourselves to experience this ENERGY instead of searching for it outside i.e. the ENERGY in the MICROCOSM is the same that dwells in the MACROCOSM.
Ask a thirsty man in the desert, the VALUE of WATER;
Ask an orphan, the VALUE of MOTHER;
Ask a dying man, the VALUE of LIFE;
you'll get the right answer. Similarly, to experience the ULTIMATE ENERGY, one must be ready to sacrifice anything & everything for the sake of it; only then TRUE REALIZATION can occur.

nicely, who's to assert that we will not exist in another inscrutable style as quickly as we die? We ought to reincarnate and stay yet another life as a distinctive organism, who knows, eh? that's what many mythologies have depicted for the time of antiquity. it is a minimum of a sprint extra exciting or exciting than saying we are in basic terms obliterated perpetually into nonexistence, etc.
