There is this local group that I'm in LOVE with and I've only gotten to see them a couple of times. They're going to be really close by at a town festival, but I have no one to go with. I have the best time seeing this group and don't want to miss out. Is it weird to have my mom drop me off so I can see them by myself? (I don't know the driving directions that well.) My mom said people "don't go to concerts alone" but I really, really don't want to miss them. What do you think?

I would go alone. Chances are you'll probably see someone there that you know. I've been to concerts alone before. I had a great time! I'd rather see my favorite band alone then kick myself in the *** for not going! Go for it and get you a shirt while you're at it!

Well, if you are old enough and your mom sais you can go then why not? Just becasuse your friends cant go does not mean that you should miss out on your fav. band. Besides you will make new friends there who have the same interest in music as you. So long as you will be safe I say go for it and dont be one of thoes people who are afraid of being alone. Agree that mom could go with you.
If she is willing to drop you off, will she pick you up? If you are really young, I think it best to go with someone.
I've gone alone. But I am over 20.

it depends on you age, and the age of people at the concert. If there is a risk that you could realistically be attacked or something, then you may not want to go alone

OR - here's a chance to ask someone to go with you - someone you normally wouldn't ever expect to ask out. A great opportunity to make a new friend.

i don't see where it's a taboo thing to go alone...maybe more a matter of safety than anything. if you want to go and aren't shy about flying solo...go and enjoy your group.
