I am watching The View and they were saying that they don't know which Democrat has the best chance to run for and win the Presidency because the favorites are barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. They said they don't know if the country is more racist or sexist and that will decide who runs for President. I have thought of this before. There are people who are still prejudece against Black people and others who cannot accept that a woman can hold a position of power. Of course there are the hardcore ****holes who will tell you exactly who they dont like but there are plenty of others who seem level headed but you find out they are still uncomfortable with their female boss or the new African American neighbors that just moved in next door. What do you think? Do you think we are able to elect someone who on the outside appears totally different than any other president we have had? They are all politicians so on the inside they are all the same, lol.

I think The View gets a lot of viewers by getting and keeping people wound up.... Did it ever occur to the Viewsters that people may not vote for hillary/obama based on their stand of the issues? Did they ever mention the idea of voting based on issues or only race/sex?

I mistakenly chose a woman for a position of authority because I felt it was time for women to assume power. My error was believing in the cause which she did NOt represent. Politicians are the pawns of powerful influences such as money and control. Do not be deceived into believing they represent you in a fair manner.

The U.S is BOTH racist and sexist. Presidential elections are not even up to the public. Yes, they vote, but in the end, the president was chosen well beforehand.

I think most of the world, USA included are more pervasively sexist. Sometimes it is overt, but most people in the USA seem to be unconsciously sexist - even those who say they aren't.

This is because everyone tends to hold those who are perceived to be "less" in some manner to deserve less "respect" (or money or chances or praise, etc.).
