Yea..um.. If any of you look at my questions they might seem racist to whites, but im not being racist coz im just angry and frustrated about the past! but thats it? the past is noting to be dewelling over it just gets people angry. So from now on i am no longer gonna be asking questions about race, or human background that would offend anyone, i admit i dont know everything about history so that is way i was asking these questions but people got the wrong idea.
I think we could all make a vow not to dwell in the past and think about slavery or any of the crazy stuff anymore because it just causes hate. And if we all make that vow then there probally would be alot less hate on answers. If you dont undertstand anything look in a history book - thats my lesson.

The UFOs lit up the otherwise clear night's sky above William Shakespeare's birthplace of Stratford-upon- Avon in Warwickshire.

ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS?

Why do some people find it so offensive to call black people black. isn't that a bit hypocritical then to call white people white? If you are from a black race then what is the big deal or is it that the real issue is that people are so caught in what happened in the past that they are just plain bitter and resentful.

The past is the past so why don't we just allow sleeping dogs to stay asleep! And get on with the now. Why should some people be forced to walk on egg shells for the rest of their lives. Sure enough that there are consequences for our actions but how long must we go on paying.

I don't see the big deal in a white person telling a black joke or visa verso. I think some people need to have a sense of humor or just buy some. ( but those are just my thoughts what's yours?)

Somebody please explain this to me. What is the differnce in saying you are a black person verses a coloured, african american etc.

The Bible CLEARLY states that we was created by God. So, there should be NO Debate whatsoever over this issue. Case Closed. we didn't evolve from no monkeys!

If you wish to address the question of "why does liberals think we evolved from monkeys?", please do so in a respectful, Christian-like, manner.

Thanks!

Tim.

I'm doing a debate and my stand is life is more important that dignity.
Does anyone have a story to suggest relating to this?

I thought they were all the same thing, but I guess apparently not. & why on certain applications, when they ask for your ethnicity, it's whether or not you're Hispanic or non-Hispanic?

Not like I have much of a choice over this.

And while I could go away and try to work through all of this on my own, my friends have repeatedly encouraged me to stay and work it through here.

The death of loved ones, being abandoned by those who encourage you to trust them, all of these are challenging experiences for anyone. And while I hope my participation here leads to helpful insights, I also hope my candour and vulnerability helps others address their problems.

It has often been said of our society that one (especially men) should never show vulnerability in public: because people will rip you to shreds like a pack of dogs.

I have found only some people will do that. Some will try to help.

Being a wounded warrior-poet may not cut a dashing figure, but it is what I am at this time.

And even if no one else knew me before the wounding, at least I did.

And no one wants this wound healed more than I.

What say you?

my mom and sister go to a free lunch thing at a church every week and every time, they keep trying to get me to go with them. It's not that i don't want free food, it's just that if i ate a free meal, i would feel really guilty about taking that food from people that really need it. I'm not really a religious guy either and it's not about it being in a church or anything like that, it's just that i'm tired of making excuses and i just don't know how to tell my mom without making her feel bad about what she is doing.

They describe it as being "serene and peaceful and happy and you'll have no worries or sorrow and.... etc, etc..."

So, you'll just forget your loved ones on earth? Even the ones that suffer horribly every day?
That won't matter to you?

Sounds like a lobotomy to me. And I say "No. Thank. You."

and make efforts to right your offenses with those whom you offended? It's infinitely more fulfilling than just praying alone. That's why Jews atone with the people they offended as well as with God, it reinforces being good people because if enforces accountability for your actions. You can do the same, with or without a god.

Christians, I'm not telling you not to pray for forgiveness, I'm asking you to be accountable not just to god, but also your fellow man. If someone steals your car, are you satisfied with them just praying to Jesus for forgiveness, or do you want your stuff back too, in the same condition it was when they stole it? Same thing applies to you. If you wrong someone, make it right. They'll come to forgive you, and you'll be a better, happier person for it.

The plumber was to come at 8 am. I couldn't be bothered to doll up when my kids are in summer holidays at 8am. I brushed my hair and teeth. Washed my face and kept the silk p.j.'s on. They had long legs and long arms. Those two guys eyes almost popped out. Was that so bad????
