not in the slightest bit...it's such a stupid word to begin with...honkey...it's just stupid...if someone actually called me a cracker or honkey I would think they are retarded and laugh in their face...

In polite society, it is offensive to call a European American a Honkey - just as someone of African descent would be offended if referred to something other than African American.

Honestly. I lived through American Apartheid of the 1950's and '60's. Haven't we grown a little since then?

No, it makes me laugh! Honkey, Cracka, and Peckerwood are all such silly words, how could anyone seriously be offended by them.

I agree with the other respondants who said that being offended is a choice.

I see no need for racial slurs of any kind in today's society. While I don't personally get offended by the word itself, I get offended at the fact that the people calling me that are backward-minded and ignorant enough to have called me that.

no why would i let a word offend me I am a bit too evolved to let that happen. it is just a word. who cares..i would probably laugh a bit and ask them where huggy bear and i would be on the lookout for a red car with a big white nike stripe down the side.

Not at all. I actually do a double take, since that expression hasn't been used since the 70's.

Why would anyone use it in the first place? Would they be trying to anger a White person for actually being white? It's nothing that we can really change, nor can they change their race. So I never call anyone a racial or cultural slang name.

What good would it do me, or them?

No, because it's a dumb word. The only time I'm offended is when someone calls me a c*nt, because that's just vulgar. Thankfully, this doesn't happen too often, lol.

You can call me whatever the hell you want--just don't call me late to dinner!
