No purpose as Christians are not going to heaven.
The bible offers Resurrection on earth.

Are you saying whats the point since we will end up in heaven and marriage may not be important there? I don't understand your question really.
But if so what ever you believe in why would you want to be married? Heaven and Earth are very differant from each other people kill here but in heaven they don't.

Marriage was for companionship & to populate the earth.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:30 that there will be no marriage in heaven- we are to be as the Angels of God in Heaven

Perhaps I am terribly dim witted, but what exactly are you asking?
Did you forget to include punctuation, and in fact are asking the Christians in Heaven the purpose of Marriage? (how you expect them to answer, I don't know).

If I glean your question correctly, the answer is, there is no marriage of anyone in heaven or on the spiritual plane of existence.

My GUESS (as I don't know) is that people feel they will remain especially close to that person in heaven if they say they are still married in heaven.

a marriage is an earthly thing...and how some people choose to express their love for each other here on earth...it's on a whole different level to heaven...
