I would like to know why some morons think the world is only 6000 years old when science has shown that its millions if not billions of years OLDER.

how does this make sense?

Hello.
I received this reply from an American police force:
“The incident has been investigated and the involved parties have been contacted”
My natural language is not English, so I need help to fully understand this reply.
In English, is there any chance that “has been” and “have been” can be referring to something that happened a year ago? Or is it a recent past? If it’s a recent past, I know that there is not established time limit…but in your personal sense what is the most distant past that “has been” can be referring to?
Thank you.

Ive lived in 3 story apartment's 2nd floor for 7 years and recently we got some new neighbors downstairs. They bang at my floor (their ceiling) for everything! if we walk around on our tippy toes they bang with their broomstick at the spot were were standing and if we sit down they bang where the chair is. We even whisper and try NOT to sneeze because we get bangs on the walls and a very loud "SHUT UP" from downstairs. To my surprise theres a loud surround sound system going off at 1 AM thats either them or right next to them but its loud to the point where can feel more than bass yu can tell which movie it is. but yet NO complaints to that!. theyve even gotten the manager to come and tell us to quiet down. What can we do? the carpet is really worn out its basically fuzzy concrete on an old 70's building. maybe new carpet and padding? Super fuzzy carpet? dynamat on the floor!? and can i get evicted for this?

I am sure the clown will come in again with another i.d. but that will not stop people like me from keeping the Y/A clean and respectful. Regardless of language race or religion, this place is for us to share thoughts and ideas. Sometimes we get carried away, true, but still we must practice respect and not throw rude and degrading comments. Serve that clown right and that will be the case for anyone who has that arrogant attitude. What do you think?

This person was not happy with my answer to their question about gay people being parents, so I was sent this message, what do you think?

Message: Who do you think you are, i don't know what i'm talking about? Adam and eve were supposed to bring up children, they could make them, if two men (so unbalanced) were able to breed, than they could be parents, but they can't and so they should not be parents. Ok? You said i'm wrong because straight men have the tendancy to leave their kids, what has this got to do with anything?

When he makes prophecies like this: http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/5328
which are full of peace and prosperity for everyone in just about every country. He has been making these prophecies for many years, and look at the world today. Had this been 2000 years ago, he would have been stoned, and rightfully so.

13Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.
14Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
15Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed...

1. Contraception. Your argument that sex is to procreate and therefore contraception is wrong.
2. Celibacy. Your argument that if a person chooses to be a priest, he has actually chosen to purposefully remain celibate.
3. Your argument that the “protestants” have removed 7 books from the bible.

My question to you. Do you realize that NONE of the above can be sufficiently supported with scripture? Its basically what you have consciously established for the catholic faith and no scripturally instructed. By that I mean, it is totally unlike instructions like “thou shalt not kill” and “thou shalt not make unto thyself any graven images, either on earth or in heaven”.

You add these “rules” and then you violate the instructions. Isn't this apostasy?

Jesus said “No man reaches the Father except through me”, and what do you do? You put a Pope (another man) right between Man and God.

PS. I do not see how your 7 books contribute to salvation. Please enlighten.

Some Christians here claim that the Bible is all literally true because it is the "word of God" and everything God says is literally true.

Christians also claim that, as part of the Trinity, Jesus is God.

Yet the Bible claims that Jesus taught in parables. The Gospels list at least 33 of them.

The parables of Jesus are considered the prototype for the word 'parable' and it is defined as "a short allegorical story designed to illustrate or teach some truth, religious principle, or moral lesson." Two antonyms of allegory are fact and history.

In other words, a parable is not literally true.

So, we are faced with a problem. If Jesus is God, then sometimes God says things which aren't literally true. If everything that God says is literally true, Jesus is not God.

The two options are mutually exclusive. Which one do you believe in and why?

I swear this guy couldn't rant and rave any louder while he's dumping in the company bathroom. On a couple occasions I've actually rushed the stall because I though he was dying or something. He always just blows it off like it's nothing - but I think he's really hurting here. We take our break at about the same time so...any help with dealing with this situation would be appreciated.

Was there an ancient country belived that it was in the middle east [it was where god originated? Was there society so advanced in science and technology and humanity that after all of them left the earth god had to create Adam and Eve to make the prophecy come true? Where did they go and is it true that there are parallal earths like ours in the same earth that we are in [eight hells, eight earths, and eight heavens right right now as if we cann't see them but it is as though we have multiple earths parallel to us? So in Job Satan and God basically have a little wager where Satan thins that Job wouldn't be all "I love God" if Satan got to rough him up a little.

Here's my problem, Satan knew God wouldn't take a challenge He didn't intend to win as God can see all. Now with Satan knowing this, he knew Job wouldn't lose faith in God. Now God being all knowing, would know that Satan knew that God knew that Satan knew.

So basically they just tortured Job for fun since both knew the end result.

And for you "Job got everything back in the end two fold" folks. What about the families of his staff? Did they get their sons and daughters back too? And even though I don't have lots on this Earth, I wouldn't take 10x what I have now to be put through what Job had to go through.

Matthew 9:9 proves that Matthew was not the author of the first Gospel which bears his name:
"And as Jesus passed forth thence, He (Jesus) saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and He (Jesus) saith unto Him (Matthew), follow me (Jesus). And he (Matthew) arose, and followed Him (Jesus)." Without any stretch of the imagination, one can see that the He’s and the Him’s of the above narration do not refer to Jesus or Matthew as its author, but a third person writing what he saw or heard - a hearsay account and not words inspired by God.
