I realize this is my problem so how do I get over it?

The specific details:

I am around her because we both volunteer at the same place.
I didn't like him before and thought he was a jerk.
I can't talk to her nor really talk around her as I am flat out uncomfortable around her.

What can I do to get over this?

Is She was born without Original Sin, then why did she have to go through the "pains of child birth"?

Because the "pain of child birth" was one of our punishments of Original Sin for Adam and Eve having eaten the forbidden fruit.

But Mary was born without Original Sin so why did she have to suffer?

our problems? And instead of going forward, do you feel like we are going backwards? There are some many homeless, low income families, high drop rates for teens, guns & violence, where will it end? I just get sooo fustrated thinking that nothing is ever being done. Do we all feel this way?

I saw an answer on here where someone was saying people forced the others to pray before eating lunch at work. How would you feel if you were put in this situation whether at work or simply around a Christian friend or family member? Would you pray or say you don't believe in that?

Do they think Christians hate them?

Do they no that God loves you regardless of his hate for the sin?

Do they no the difference between teaching, preaching, and hate?

Do they understand that God knows your heart and love better then you could ever imagine?

Do they no that they can change?

Do they no that God forgives?

It must be hard all the time, having someone say you are wrong and feeling that you have to defend yourself. But all born again Christians have to go through that, rather it be an alcoholic who justifies one last drink, a drug user who scores occasionally, a gambler who lost his rent money. We all have struggles to fight, and yes there is punishment for willingly disobeying, but through God, we don’t have to fight alone, and we can WIN!

This is an item that Jewish people put on their doors with verses from the Bible that say that we should put the words on our doors and gates. A friend of mine from Israel had one and I thought it was pretty neat. Would it be wrong for a Christian to have one?

Christians so easily dehumanize Atheists, I thought if that they could see that you are good, loving people with hopes and dreams, family and friends that maybe they would realize the error of their judgemental thinking. I know it's a stretch to hope for that but... what is your life like?

I just came up with this off the top of my head. I'm not a very religious person. I've always thought that there was no hell only heaven no devil only god. I've always thought and always will that when you die you go to the gates and St Peter says you were an honest person and good to others so go in. ( If you weren't its like when you get in trouble in kindergarten go to the back of the line) I've always thought that maybe life was that waiting line into St peters gates Then my mind goes back to murderess and rapist (you know the biggest sins) They all die do they then get to go to heaven I’d like to think not I'd like to think they get sent to the back of the line over and over again. I do also believe in reincarnation but not like when I die I'm going to come back as a bird but like that you come back as a human and relive that life over again. Your probably saying to yourself well "if you believe in heaven then how can you believe in reincarnation" I believe that you go to heaven and god looks into his crystal ball (or whatever it is he watches us with) and says for example wow John Smith is going to start doing drugs when he turns 20 who could I send to make him quite hmmm I will try his this little girl named Sue she can be his baby sister that really looks up to him. I’m not saying that god has the power to stop us from doing all evil things and when a person commits murder I don’t think that god sends them to do it I think that god tries to send us people in our lives to help prevent us from doing harm to ourselves or others. We all teach each other and god tries his best to pick the right person to help us out. I do have a question though where I was 16 I became pregnant. Some people told me that I committed a sin b/c I wasn’t married. I would tell them I don’t see it as that I see it as god saying here is a gift to put you on the right path in life before you drift off too far. I would tell them I thank god not only for my daughter but for the chance that he gave me. Then they would say but a sin is a sin they are all the same. I don’t understand how they are all the same I mean I created a life I didn’t hurt anyone. I’m 21 now and sometimes I still think about those people that said that I mean really I still don’t see their point.

I think it's harder not to believe in God than it is to believe in him. God gives hope, it gives you a purpose. Why give that up? Why do you feel it's better to do it on your own?

i know that your religion says that it's a blasphamy to say "bless you" after someone sneezes because it apparently derives from the soul trying to escape the body and blessing it will try to drive it back inside you. but since witness do not believe in a "soul" (even though thier bible is full of the word soul) then, that is a restricted phrase. but what about in a spanish culture where they say "salud" wich literally translates to "health" so they would be wishing them health. now, is this a restricted phrase in the spanish culture of jehovahs witness too? it may be different words but the meaning behind it is the same. can a witness explain?

Christianity
Within Judaism it is a matter of debate whether Christianity's doctrine of the Trinity constitutes a violation of the Noahide prohibition of idolatry or not.

The strict view is that Christian theology is considered avodah zarah (loosely translated as "idolatry") for all people, both Jew and gentile alike. This would be one reason to disqualify Christians from being considered Noahides. However, Unitarians and those followers of Jesus who do not believe that Jesus is a deity, such as non-trinitarians, would not be so disqualified.

Other rabbinic views make a distinction between avodah zarah (idolatry) and shittuf (lit. "association"), defined as any doctrine that recognizes one Supreme God, but ascribes power, albeit secondary, to a created being (the term refers to one who does not deny the monotheistic and exclusionary aspect of God, but "associates" something else with Him). Judaism prohibits shittuf for Jews as idolatry, but not for non-Jews. The Tosafist Rabbe

why do non-christians like to say...God is so "VIOLENT" IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, and so loving in the New?

let me explain to you all once and for all.

we humans DO NOT dictate WHO or WHAT GOD IS. we do not say God should be loving thats why if He is "violent" He is wrong. AS much as He is LOVING, HE IS ALSO righteous. and Perfect.

He is RIGHTEOUS - meaning HE CANNOT TOLERATE SIN. and EVIL. if He must wipe out sin to save the majority innocent, then HE WILL DO IT, which He does in the Old testament. so just accept that the Christian God does WIPE out sin if He has to.

He is HOLY - in His presence there cannot be evil, no breach of holiness/contract.

HE is LOVING - He gave His Son to die for us.

so don't whine and say, "why is your God so "EVIL" yet so loving in the New Testament??"

simple: because God is righteous, holy, perfect and is A JUDGE, a King. yet, also a loving God
