Does it make more sense to say there was just some random little piece of really dense matter that just randomly exploded one day and VOILA! Now we have this perfect planet, upon which these perfect creatures, plants, etc. randomly materialize from magic bacteria.. Now I'm Agnostic, but I still think it takes a lot more faith to believe something like that than to believe in God.

What's there to make you think that God was just sitting around doing nothing until he came up with the idea to just start making a planet to populate with his children? It's very likely given the eternal nature of God that he's been doing this for a very long time, will continue to do it for a very long time still, and has a very good idea of how to do it. The next part about people not having his powers could simply be because no mortal human could actually survive in the presence of such power. However, it would seem kind of a waste of God's power and time to stick his children here only to watch them live, die and pretty much just stay the same forever. Perhaps you should consider one of the purposes of life to be for God to prepare you to be able to have his powers some day should you be willing to accept them by learning to control the powers you currently have in your mortal state?

I'm a Christian and I remember when I was younger I asked the same question about who made God and gave Him these powers. But to be honest.. all the answers to these questions are in the Bible. If you're really interested and you don't want to look through the Bible you could run by a church one day and ask a minister or someone... if they aren't at the church when you go, don't give up just swing by another time. They'll be happy to answer any questions you may have and explain a lot more about God to you. :)

Whats funny to me is that Athiests (all the ones I've encountered here in YA) seem so full of hate and disgust towards Christians, yet they will go right over to the cultures sections and adamantly slam racists. Does that not make you hypocritical? And so many of you are just WHINERS. You have all the time in the world to come to an online Q&A section to slam someone. Miserable little people aintcha? I will come here late night to find some good religious discussion and I find tons upon TONS of whiney, snotty remarks by self-proclaimed athiests. Look...when you get off the computer and get a job and support your own family instead of working Christians having to, pay my bills, buy my groceries and my clothes, put my kids through college, then I will have to set and listen to your babbling rhetoric. Until then, find God. He may have some use for you after all.

God is floating around up there in space? That's a good one. Does he have a rocket pack, a space suit, and a photon blaster?

Think broader. That God created space itself; the three physical dimensions, as well as time, and exists outside of both. Essentially, the entire environment for the Earth to develop. Perhaps he even catalyzed the big bang.

Not everything in the Bible is to be taken literally, for the Bible is not a history book.

wow, that's a loaded question if i've ever seen one. haha, well, as a christian, i can say, first thing, you have to take by faith that God is eternal, without beginning or end, so yes, he just inda randomly was like all "BAM planet!" then over 6 days made everything on it. You have to take BY FAITH (that means without any evidance, a 'shot in the dark' if you will) that he is the primary force in the universe, in controll of everything including time and space. and why don't people now have these powers???? well, he's still alive, and he's not a 'person' like you and me, we're created in his image, not exactly the same as him. i hope this helped, and as you can prolly see, i'm a pretty crappy christian, but i used to go to sunday school and stuff when i was little, and in high school.

No one made him! God is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the £Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1: 8).
If you would experience what our church experiences then, you would have no doubt who God is and he has no limits (healing, casting out of demons from the processed and the power of the holy spirit. We have these powers from him through our faith, were have you been! He is pretty powerful but you are not going to experience it unless you follow his word and show your obedience to him or you can wait for tribulation and you will discover it is too late! www.mylordmysavior.com

God has no beginning and no end, He is not a created being. This is practically impossible for us lowly humans to understand, everything around us is born, lives and dies. We can even witness planets going supernova and basically dying. God is Love and He created this universe (and our home, and all the creatures in it and us) in order to share His great love. Parents love their children, most would willingly die to save their child's life. God's love is greater than ANTHING we can even imagine. One act of disobedience brought His glorious creation crashing down. But He had a plan for that too in His Son, Jesus Christ. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.
