John 5

21For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

i have been researching the rothschilds, morgans, and banking history in general. it seems that the wealthy often initiate wars to get wealthier, or to gain or considate more power. is religion just a tool or an easy excuse for the wealthy to manipulate others, or are wars really fought over religion?

I am often asked this question by well-meaning people trying to understand me, and I try my best to respond, but it sounds like such a very vague question that it's difficult to know what kind of information is wanted.

Could someone please enlighten me as to what kinds of topics you would talk about when explaining your religion to someone? Feel free to give me an example by showing me how you would explain your religion. :) Oh, I know that there is a good chance you probably expect that everyone knows your religion already, but let's say hypothetically speaking, you are talking to someone who knows nothing about your religion.

Thank you for any responses! :)

I'm asking because, as a Christian, it seems so obvious to me that this is about Jesus. I'm not trying to be mean, but I just can't understand how else you could interpret these verses. Can you explain it to me?

As if I really care but I had to post due to some postings I've read so far today. Honestly Most of us white men could care less to see white women flocking to black men...Great for them.
Face it America..Beauty is not limited to just white women.....
In fact I've seen many many women of other ethnicities who were extremely gorgeous ..beauty you don't see everyday, not the typical looks of white women!

My husbands been teasing her, he says that only lesbians get it pierced on the right side. Is that true- I really dont care if she is, I just want to prove him wrong. I say- whatever hand you write with, that ways its easier to put the ring in, not only that its all about preference-right?

My brother told me that he was impersonating a Mormon missionary selling LDS membership cards on account. Since he doesn't intend on collecting the receivables no cash had been transferred. However, he gave them price lists for Platinum Celestial Eternity Level $25,000, Holy High Roller Gold Level $10,000, Silver Follower Level $2,500, Bronze Follower Level $1,500, and Holy Priesthood Level for $750. He also promised that they could spend a week free in his time share in Salt Lake City to research the church teachings. He promised them eternal life! He had an Elder name tag made and claimed to be a LDS Mormon not the older branch, FLDS. I told him if he got a Mormon couple to just say that he was FLDS though.

Anyway, is this a crime or is it OK since no money was exchanged?

As I have become an ardent reader and answerer of questions here in this section, I have noticed that all the mean, cutting remarks are addressed to Christianity. Why is that?

- It wasn't Christians who slammed into the Towers
- It's not Christians who are slaying people with machetes in the jungles of Indonesia
- It's not Christians who are denying religious freedom to people in India

I know all the history of Christians doing HORRIBLE things, i.e., Crusades, Inquisition, Witch Trials, etc. But come on, when in recent history has this been the case? No, you cannot use Ireland, because dumb Protestants vs. dumb Catholics don't count!

When I was a kid I was taught that God made rainbows as a promise to people that he would never flood the earth again (after Noah's Ark). If that is true, where do I find it in the bible?

Did someone not get the memo regarding which side God is on, or is this evidence that religion is a tool of the state and does not represent divine wisdom?
