Last time I checked it was the first major form of Christianity around, after successfully wiping out different Christians sect that didn't follow the same precepts, such as the Gnostics, Arians, etc. possibly wiping out the true meaning of Christianity. but that is a story for another time :) All other forms of Christianity are derived from the same book the Catholics use, they just do things a little different. After all, just because they go to confession, say hail mary's, etc. doesn't make it heresy (same for the kooky snake-handlers and tongue speakers!)

I feel anyone, no matter what their orientation, has the right to keep knowledge of that orientation private if they want. That is, I believe in closets for those who want to live in them. I don't think this is against gay pride, but it clearly is against the practice of "outing" someone else.

What do you think about closets?

Is that being homosexual? Or is being homosexual being gay?
I think to be considered gay, you have to actually love someone of the same gender, right?...

The vast majority of the scientific community agrees that evolution is the best theory to explain the variety of life on Earth. There really is no debate in the scientific community. None. The only opposition to the theory of evolution is coming from the evangelicals. I can choose to believe the guys who worked their tails off for 8 years to get PhD's and then worked their tails off for many more years studying the subject in an attempt to solve the riddle of life. My other choice is to believe a group of people who have no background in science, who claim God did it because somehow the Bible, a painting, and a banana is proof of God. Your asking me to choose between those 2 groups. Who am I supposed to believe?

I've seen many responses on here and other forums where Christians think people become atheists or convert to other religions because they don't want to take accountability for their actions. Yet many Christians aren't living any differently. They still have premarital sex, drink, watch bad movies/television, curse, etc. They just go to church on Sunday and think their religion forgives them.

I mean, a government acts based on what is most beneficial for its citizens, usually in economic terms. But where some gain, others lose.

When Jesus fed the hungry in the paradigm of the fishes and loaves, he wasn't being polite. He was teaching them to share.

The actions of Christ and the actions of the Federal Reserve do not match. Would it be a sin to condone an international trade policy that kept others in poverty? Is it possible to shed your beliefs at the ballot box?

(animal, mammal). Ecclesiastes 3:18-19. Furthermore he must believe that a man has no preeminence above a beast.
I do not read anywhere that the creationists and intelligent design people ever quote these scriptures. Why not. Are they ignorant of them? All I here is how we are not animals and that we are above them.

Does anyone ever come to think that maybe there really isn't any God in this world? Maybe the word God, the advice and faith we learn and hear today relating to God are simply just make up stories created by some intelligent humans a long long long time ago just to give hope to people and to frighten evil people from doing evil things. I mean, had anyone actually seen one? Yes, some people might answer that they have seen God. If yes, could it be a hallucination or something else which still can't be confirmed till today? I hope its not offending to religious people out there.
