Auntb, I couldn't have agreed more. In fact, when are they going to start banning IPs? maybe that would solve an even bigger issue.

I've only blocked one, but I have to agree with what's been said already. They'll just get a new account to get around the block. I doubt this will change anything.

Yes, I have. I went to my "fans" list and blocked all the ones I had not thought worth putting into my "contacts" list. I was just waiting for this function.

Of course, people will find ways to abuse it. But frankly, it was long in coming. Frankly, I feel it should have been a part of the contacts function from the start.

I will do but if they can return it's rather pointless, I used to be a member of another site where the trolls always returned and they got me banned. Apparently it was rational to be homophobic there, to insult partners and call you Adolf Hitler and to attack if you dare to use a dictionary! No loss

I really don't see how blocking trolls will make any difference. They get new accounts so often I just don't see how it will slow them down.

Yes. Our good old 'friend' kkk and calabash t. However, blocking them is a really shallow victory. When they create a new account, you must reblock them. A fat lot of good that does when they create four or five accounts per diem...

since I just found about about the block feature today, I just started using it. so, those trolls who keep sending harassing emails....find someone else to bother.

edit: the one who keeps sending me harassing emails just sent me another email....what's up with that?

Yes, I've blocked quite a few.

There is no point. They will just make another account and cause you uneeded stress in a time in your life when things are really really bad. They don't care. They are that miserable.
