What's this talk about rebuilding the temple?

I'd be totally opposed to that. Is it a serious plan? What news,if any?

Rebuild which temple? Is this the one where there is currently a mosque? If it is then Israel best not want any help fighting the muslim world from the christian nations.

It is a very serious plan...the Jews are waiting for their Messiah and there will have to be an unblemished sacrifice in the Lord's temple. The temple parts are pre-fabricated and ready to be put into place. The Rabbis are already trained on the sacrifice. Read the link below...I have more links if you would like them.

The temple will be rebuilt.It says so in the book of Revelation.
They have already have many of the thing need for the inside of the temple.

It's based on the Futurist model of eschatology. It is based on a scripture:

Daniel 9:27  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

They claim that "...he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease..." means there needs to be a temple in order for these things to "cease".

This, obviously, cannot be true.

Most of the furniture and items for the temple have been built. It is just a matter of time. Once it is built, Christ will come.

It's going to happen ,the Bible says it will.Either right before or at the start of the Great Tribulation.

why don't they build something useful to their people?or at least-if they're so obsessed with it-build the ******* temple quickly and then deal with the real problems
