The first humans chose to disobey God. He is now allowing us to suffer the natural consequences of a world apart from Him, such as humans warring against each other and hating each other. That is why horrible tragedies happen..because of humans and their choices.
We live in a fallen world, of which Satan is the ruler. God will step in eventually, when it has been proven beyond all doubt to all creation, that we are doomed completely without God. He also helps us get through things now, if we trust in Him and try to obey His laws.

Man did these things with Satan's guidance.
I find it very troubling that so many people complain that God let this and that happen; when a nation turns it's collective back on God an says God does not exist and then expects him to fix the mess we made!!
He God Almighty not the tooth fairy

We are all children of a Heavenly Father who loves us. He prepared this earth with conditions to allow us to grow and develop by allowing us to experience what happens when people are allowed to make both good and bad choices.
For example, I tell my children that honesty is important and why, but they are more likely to understand why honesty is so important if they experience the pain of a damaged relationship due to a lie.
It may seem unfair for God to allow good people to suffer, but He has our best interests at heart. In the Eternal scheme of things, earth life is a small but valuable aspect of our existence.

Because this all goes back to the time of Adam ,God said he would bring judgment upon man because of Sin and God rarely changes his mind, that's his word.

could it be possible that the evil in mankind did these things and god cant stop them because he gave us freewill and waiting for us to learn the proper use of this gift.stop and think can your parents who created you really stop you from doing things.be honest dont lie and say you've never gone against your parents teaching or beliefs they tried to instill in you.maybe this sounds simple but its this simple.people do these things in the name of their god, whatever it may be,to try and give some justification to their sick twisted thoughts and actions.how many people do you think are follow someone who just stands up and says"hey i'm f*****g crazy and i'm gonna go do this really evil s**t wanna come help?

God gave us a choice when we were placed on earth; we are able to choose what we want to do and what we don't. We are the controllers of this planet. It is not God who caused or let horrible things happen it is man himself. We have the brains to sum up and prevent tragedies unfortunately this also includes causing them.
If all was good on earth then what would be the point of heaven?

Let's pretend for a moment that God exists. If that is true, and God is omnipotent and all-powerful (i.e., capable of stopping atrocities like those mentioned from happening) then the only conclusion is that God wanted all of those people to suffer and die.

God allows free will for everyone, (choices). The people that flew the planes into the Twin Towers are to blame for this. And inside their evil minds was Satan influencing the horror to happen.
God was there after when people needed help. He allows people the freedom to chose what they do. It doesn't mean God is to blame.

Why do you have to blame God when it is very obvious that it was the work of men? And you know what kind of men are they... sociopaths and megalomaniac...who used God whom they really do not believe within their hearts.

"God either wants to eliminate bad things and cannot, or can but does not want to, or neither wishes to nor can, or both wants to and can. If he wants to and cannot, he is weak -- and this does not apply to god. If he can but does not want to, then he is spiteful -- which is equally foreign to god's nature. If he neither wants to nor can, he is both weak and spiteful and so not a god. If he wants to and can, which is the only thing fitting for a god, where then do bad things come from? Or why does he not eliminate them?" - Epicurus ...there is no logical answer to this age old question regarding the ethics of "God"...this is why many people do not believe...
