mad at him because he didn't show himself and scared.
I'd also hate myself for making such a mistake...hypothetically of course

I would feel that a God like that was not worth the worship. If He cannot forgive us, for what is quite frankly a very large leap of faith, then he is not a nice God. Therefore I'd rather live in hell for eternity than have to worship a horrible God.
Christians do not think their God is horrible, so this would not be the case, so atheists would be welcomed into heaven.
How about if Christians and atheists are wrong and the hindus have got it right? How would you feel to live in their hell?

I'd first ask why he/she/it is such a selfish and egotistical God. I'd then go on to share a few laughs about how humanity created this whole religion thing and committed unbelievable attrocities against eachother in his/her/it's name. Then, we'd throw some darts and tell fart jokes. I know God has a great sense of humor, I mean, look at the anteater! I'd finish out the day by inquiring about foreskin.. What's the deal, does it stay or go? I mean, who couldn't use a little extra there. Right? We'd exchange phone numbers, God would tell me about how humans made up all that hooey about satan and hell to make their kids chew with their mouths closed and not say the f-word. Then he'd turn me inside out and smite my innards with his staff (oh yes, God has to have a staff) because vengefull is just the tip of the iceberg on our diety. Last but not least, I'd ask that a few specific people be forced to crap pinecones every 10 minutes for the rest of their mortal lives. (hey, if you know the big guy, gotta shoot for a personal favor or two, heh?).

Believing that there is some kind of supernatural high power out there somewhere is different from believing in a loving caring creator. I don't see any reason to believe in the first and several reasons not to believe in the latter
I think logically so I cannot answer a hypothetical question unless it is at least a possibility.

Well lets suppose that there is no God, and no Life After death, and you die and there is nothing, how would you feel?
Come on buddy. How does your luncheon meat feel when you are chowing down on your sandwich. If you can even consider formulating an answer to the idea of life after death you need reality counseling.
Death is real. The sooner you realize that the saner and happier you will be.
By the way, Deez, do a search on "Pascal's Wager" and "refutations."
You might learn something.
There is no sense going through life repeating the same stupid tired old argument over and over and over.

I'm not an atheist - am Agnostic. Yes there is a difference. But in any case - I would be definitely bummed out. Like forever. But do you think the fear of this mistake is something that can make anyone believe something that they otherwise cannot find within themselves the ability to believe? I don't.

If I'm dead and talking to someone, then I wouldn't need faith to believe in them now, would I?
I want to negotiate the terms of my eternal life. If I'm going to be floating up in the clouds strumming on a harp, that bores me, terminate my existence right there. Just turn out the lights.
But if I can dictate what I get to do with my eternal life, we can talk.

Well, if God punished me for all of eternity for using the mental facilities he gave me (logic, reasoning, etc.) I would call that a design flaw and would consider my creator little more then a child with his toys dealing compassion and misery out with arbitrary rules and expectations. I would take solace in the fact I could quietly and pleasantly suffer outside of God's malicious and selfish designs, in Hell, and for the rest of eternity be content.

and you died and He told you that all you had to do was believe in him, and then you froze in Hel for eternity, how would you feel? Hypothetically speaking okay, How would you feel?

I would feel greatly angered that God was an evil bastard disguising himself as a loving God. He knew my heart. He knew that I was not intentionally rejecting him; I truly believed that he did not exist.
I would be sad and angered for having to spend an eternity in hell.

C'mon - this is a hypothetical question.
But, let's say for the sake of your argument he existed, I'd stand there proudly and say that I'd rather go to hell than bow down to him.
He's a tryant, a killer of millions, unjust and uncaring. Who said god was love? That's a crock.
