I have read the Bible. I still read the Bible and that's why I'm NOT a Christian.

I have read the bible perhaps 4 times in its entirety and let me tell you there is a reason why "Faith" is required. Its stories read like Grimm's Grimmest fairy tales. Are that naive to think God would trust mankind in writing down his word after the apple incident. Anyone who believes this book suffers from retarded intelligence.

I know the Bible better than most self-professed Christians. Why don't you read non-fiction for a change?

I find myself somewhere between Gnostic, skeptical and a little athiest. But I've read the NT, OT and other religious works. I find them to be a very interesting insight into ourselves, society and the unknown. I hate uneducated athiests about as much as blind biblethumpers. At least brush up on the subject matter before claiming your beliefs or disbeliefs.

I have, along with many many other - more credible and much nicer books.

All said though, what with all the bible quotes people like throwing round on here, there is probably a copy on yahoo answers now, albeit in many different pieces.

Then again, maybe not, a vast quantity of it is utter twaddle.

You must be an inverse fortune teller for I have read it many times front to back. Each time making notes. Those notes have helped me realize that the god in the bible cannot exist.

While I have read the Bible, I would simply ask, in fairness, if you have taken the time to read the many other religious texts of divergent faiths available to you, too. Who knows? But I suspect that if you do, you might be surprised, my friend...I would suggest that if you took the time to do so, you would find even more insight then you might otherwise presume to be aware of already. Blessings.....
