When I finally came to God, there was no doubt that He was real. Since then, there have been things that there is no way its a coincidence. I have seen Him move in ways that only He can do.
I have studied and questioned alot before coming to God, to know in my head that it could be true. When I finally came to God in my heart, there was no doubt.

When I go for a walk in the country and I see the beauty of all that is around me it amazes me that people can't know that there is something more than this. If there is no point to life then why are we devistated when a person comitts suicide? Were going to die anyway. What makes the starving children in Africa, or the depressed keep going? The knowlege and faith in a God who loves us and Cares for us, and made us for a reason. How can this wonderful world be a mistake? Since we discovered that the universe dosn't revolve around us people have gotten this idea that it's like that because we are insignificant. It's really a vain, and arogant thought. I hate storms. I hate them with a passion, they scare me and I always worry. But as soon as I pray and I ask God for help, sometimes I sing a few songs that talk about his strength. and I'm not afraid anymore. I've heard so many stories of Christian men and Woman who ahve been provided for just in the nick of Time. Sure some may say it's coinsidence, luck, destiny, tomany coinsadences in my opinion. If it is destiny, who set our destiny? It didn't just appear, How did a big bang create feeling, personality, love, imagination? And why even though since the beggining of Christianity people have dedicated their lives to ending it, but after 2000 years it still holds a remarcable place in this world? People don't like to belive in God because they don't want someone else running their lives. But that's not what it;s like at all. Look at what we have done to this world. It looks to me like we need all the help we can get.

First, let me say that I have no wish to convert you to my religion. I only pray that at some point you find The Truth/connect with the Spirit, and from this you find great peace as well as the motivation to love others.
For me, God has always been a constant stirring in my soul. I know that some people don't share this feeling, but for me it is very real. For many years, I searched for an outlet to this inner feeling, but was unsuccessful.
And what was God saying? Love others, love yourself, do not worry, have faith, be a good person. At 37 and still searching as much as ever, I consider myself a Christian. Each day I try to surrender to God, to serve others, to shares God's compassion for all.
(Psalms 18:28) For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

I know because I use to be mad and drunk all the time. Now I am filled with joy and do not drink anymore. Here are some verses that might help you.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.(Genesis 1:1)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.(Proverbs 1:7)
The fool has said in his heart,“There is no God.” (Psalm 14:1)
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12)
“The heart is deceitful above all things,And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings.(Jeremiah 17:9-10)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans (6:23)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)

Honestly? I was born and raised Lutheran. So i didn't decide for myself to become Christian, I was baptised into the faith when I was 25 days old. For a while when I was younger, I remember not wanting to go to Sunday School... I thought Church was dumb... I even remember saying, "If God is always around us, then where is He? I don't see Him... No one has."
But then I realized that it's not hard work being a Christian. Jesus loves you even when no one else does. I wanted to go to Heaven, and it is an easy goal to attain. YOu have to believe in God, believe that God sent Jesus to die for your Salvation, and repent your sins sincerely with all your heart. God knows that humans are sinful, and He knows if you truely mean it in your heart that you want to be forgiven.
Have faith in God, don't worry about trying to PROVE His existence... Just spread the word about Him to all who are willing to listen. Even if the Atheists are right, and God isn't real, is a Christian life really such a bad life to lead?

Its not my job to convert you,
But I had a time in my life when i was totally alone and was at a point where nobody could help, me and my only option was God, In my experience if God didn't exist i would have died.
literally.

I have faith in God because I have seen the evidence of His work in my life. When I have prayed, I have felt his power. I have had things happen in my life that I know God had a hand in doing. I cannot sit here and prove to you a physical form of God. You cannot see God. I can, however, prove to you two things. God is the epitome of two things that are found in scripture. One of them is love. The other is light. God is love (1 John 4:8). This is something I have felt more than once. I remember realizing for the first time in my life that God's love is never going to fail. God's love is never going to leave me. God's love is always going to be there. I broke down in tears. For the first time, I felt peace. I have prayed for friends and seen God answer my prayers. I have had prayers answered about problems I was having through listening to sermons or reading devotionals. When I pray, I feel God with me. It isn't just some trick. I truly feel him there. God is light. With God, I do not feel in darkness. I feel God's light in me at all times. I feel his joy giving me power and strength through some of the hardest situations. God is always with me. It is up to you to believe. It isn't something I can easily explain. It is only something that I feel. However, for someone to deny that I feel God is to have them base their disbelief on something THEY cannot prove. :-) By the way, the short answer to this is something that I've thought about for years. I believe in God because He believes in me when no one else has.

Some friends introduced me to the Bible and showed me verses in the book of John that Jesus is God. To me, It was exciting to see that. They also showed me (in the Bible) that my sin is keeping me from a relationship with God the way He wants and how Jesus came to pay for my sins because God is just and sin has to be paid for. I believed this but wanted to live life my own way.
Some years later, I found myself seeking for truth and reading the Bible. I asked God that if the Bible is true to help me to believe the truth. And He did give me faith to trust Him to forgive me, cleanse me (by accepting His death as payment for my sins) and change my heart to follow Him.
Now I know that He was moving my heart to seek after Him.
I grow in faith and relationship with the Lord by reading His Word, spending time with Him in prayer and by worshiping Him with other believers.

You are asking for me to "act" like I am trying to convert you;
I have taught Scripture for the past 35+years, from the original manuscripts. I have never once in my life attempted to convert anyone, since that is not a mandate from God for any Christian, so I don't think I could "act" very convincingly;
however, I would be happy to tell you this:
I was actually brought up Catholic - went to the School, the Church, even Sunday School. I've always believed in God,
but like so many others, once I reached 18 and moved out of my parents home, I really didn't pay any attention to God or anything related to God - Obviously, I wouldn't have said anything offensive about God, but beyond that, I had no real
relationship with HIm.
Then one Saturday rolled around, and from that day and for a continuous two-week period, I lost (to death):
my fiancee, my neighbor, my favorite Aunt and two Uncles,
my four best friends in a car crash, my fiancee's best friend to suicide, one of my bosses at work, my dog sparkey, and my three guinea pigs: snuggles, booboo and snickers.
I had so many dark funeral outfits that people thought I was a "goth".
The world seems to keep going and yet I felt like I was in a vacuum and was completely still. Nothing made sense; I read every book in the Library on "death", and even joined the Near Death Experience Group Meetings held Monthly.
I read the Tibetan Book of the Dead three times. Anyway, no matter what I read, I seemed to keep being pointed back towards the Bible. I was angry with God, and had no problem telling HIm so. I even drove to some land I have up in the Mountains and stood there and screamed for two solid days at Him. What kind of monster would allow this? But I knew that the only way I was going to get answers was from Him, since I did believe He is Creator. I opened the Bible and I read every single word in it. I understood approximately ten percent of what I read. Okay, okay, five percent.
What the hell was I supposed to get out of a multi-headed beast coming out of the ocean - Where the hell are my loved ones??? I read that Bible so many times I'm not even sure of the number. By the time I was tired of doing that, I realized that I understood some of it. Then I saw a copy of the "1611" which has a note in it from the translators that said that when they would try to translate over to the English, many times the fuller thought or deeper meaning of what was being conveyed would be lost, and that if the reader wanted to really understand what is being said, they would have to go to the original manuscripts. I got copies of them okay, but they were written in Hebrew, Greek and a language called Chaldee which was the language of the Babylonians, and the first seven Chapters of Daniel was written in it - anyway, I studied and compared and learned each of the languages, and studied idioms and Hebreisms and now after 35+ years of study, with my specialty interest being in Prophecy, I came to understand why we were created, why we are here in the flesh, what happened to us before we got here, and what the entire purpose for us and this life actually is. I also understand why people stay and why they go, and where they go when they "die".
The fuller thought I found in the manuscripts asounded me;
I still to this day cannot understand why these truths written aren't taught in the Churches; things like what really happened in the Garden, and the fact that Adam and Eve were twins, and that Satan has blood children on the Earth -
things like that - Real common sense understanding of what is really being said in the Book. Real Answers. I came to realize that there is no weird spooky mysticism involved in it;
that God is quite natural and operates in a very natural way.
I began to have a relationship with Him that transcended any other I have ever experienced. My life isn't without difficulty, but I have a peace of mind that nothing can penetrate. Nothing is a problem for me - I do what I can do and the rest is taken care of.
All I can tell you is that full understanding of Gods plan is available to anyone who chooses to learn it, but it will not suddenly pop into your mind: God doesn't work that way. He figures if you really give a crap you will search for the truth, and if you do, He will see to you finding it, and much, much more than you ever imagined.
I have never asked for intercession for myself or for anyone else that hasn't come - and I mean in a huge, obvious way.
I had a dream when I was age forty that I would have a son, but since I was told I was beyond age, that was just funny to me, but at age 43 I married and had my son at the age of 44 with no problem at all.
Anyway, my faith is so strong because I constantly see God at work in my life.
There are lots of paths to God, and my path or my way might not be what is planned for someone else. God works differently, since people are of different backgrounds and from different situations and circumstances; but the person who cares enough to become a disiplined student of Christ will become one, of that I have no doubt.

if you are going logical...
only Christians can say that their God came down from Heaven and saved us from eternal damnation.
Others.... just do enough good deeds. Problem is how do you know you had done enough good deeds? Isn't it too late if you found one less good deed to make it to heaven and just go to hell?
Christ only needs you to believe Him as your savior. Of course after that you will be a servant to the one true God.
