I guess it depends on which side of the issue you're coming from......I'm a Christian, but guess what? I used to be an unbeliever, and was stubborn then, and I suppose I'm stubborn now. At least now, I have lived both sides of the coin and KNOW what I'm talking about, whereas before, it was all pure conjecture about Christianity; as I run into a lot here on R&S!!
The trick is to be stubborn about the right thing!!
God Bless!

in the religious person's mind, what you refer to as "illogical and stubborn", they will refer to as "faithful"...its just a matter of perspective...either way, it does not seem fair to label anyone with a religion (that includes atheism) as "illogical and stubborn"...there are fundamentalists in every social construct of humanity...fundamentalism is illogical and stubborn...

We are firm in our beliefs. that's not stubborn. We only seem illogical to the non believers. So, we are not stubborn or illogical.. Case closed.

haha well i think that maybe it's because that from an early age, the religious are told that their beliefs are true without any other interpretations. this was the case in my church growing up. religion is like a box, and the religious can't use an answer that doesn't come from the box...see what i'm getting at? haha i've asked this question for years since i left the church. these are just my personal beliefs...

Because of the great impact God makes on my life.
Nothing (!!) else compares.
The fact that He hasn't impacted your life does not effect my decision to worship Him .
I will NOT budge from my place at His feet.
Why can't nonbelievers understand this?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was not raised in a relgious household and even my extended family do not believe in a religion. I have been a follower of Jesus for the past 7 years (I am 41). Do not dismiss my belief as a result of brainswashing or peer pressure. To do so would give you an "easy" out to explain my faith, but you would be dead wrong.
Because religious people have the truth in their possession. On the otherhand, none religious people only have theories.
Theories that work and truth that can not be proven. Oh my, what a complete mess.
