Do they think Christians hate them?
Do they no that God loves you regardless of his hate for the sin?
Do they no the difference between teaching, preaching, and hate?
Do they understand that God knows your heart and love better then you could ever imagine?
Do they no that they can change?
Do they no that God forgives?
It must be hard all the time, having someone say you are wrong and feeling that you have to defend yourself. But all born again Christians have to go through that, rather it be an alcoholic who justifies one last drink, a drug user who scores occasionally, a gambler who lost his rent money. We all have struggles to fight, and yes there is punishment for willingly disobeying, but through God, we don’t have to fight alone, and we can WIN!

Sun, you raise a good pint which I am happy to address. When I was in high school there were a group of girls who were extremely easy, always screwing somebody. These same girls later on after high school had moved on to having relationships with women, on in particular died before she ever had the chance to give her life back to Christ. So yes I think that if you hoe around, lust enough, and find an attraction in someone you can convince yourself that your gay.

Dagah, I assume you are insinuating that I am arrogant or that God does hate (i.e. Psalms 5:5), however, remember that, that is DAVID speaking, not God.

Colin C, I am sorry to hear about your brother being treated this way by people who call themselves Christians, and no spewing hateful torment is not Christian like, therefore he should have disregarded there words and behavior altogether. However, your disagreement is not with me as it is with the word of God, : Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." (NIV)
Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." (NIV)
Living a gay life IS a SIN.

the ones I know all think "God hates us", "Christians hate us", "He made us like this and then punishes us"...yadayadayada and like you said, IT'S ALL FALSE!!!!
a lot of people are under the delusion that when someone says "I don't support homosexuality" that they are ignorant and hateful. honestly! do they even ponder the definition of a homophobe? a homophobe is one who has an irrational hatred or fear of homosexuals. you can dislike a lifestyle without hating its adherents. how hard is that to understand?
homosexuals, I just want you to know that God still loves you, He did not make you that way (God made your soul not your hormones) and that staying in the homosexual lifestyle is a choice: nature vs lifestyle.

They don't think God hates them- they think ignorant christians do.
Or, sometimes the ignorant, narrow minded christians have gotten to them and they'll actually feel ashamed and hated by God.
If they haven't been turned off to Christianity completely by bible-beating christians, then they most likely know about the salvation plan, etc, etc. I used to be Christian, but the one big thing that's keeping me from the church- even now, as I struggle to get back into it- is its totalitarian, unwelcoming, abusive position towards homosexuals.
Also, there's nothing a person hates worse than being pitied, and you, my friend, are trying to pity them.

Did you know that you can change?
Do you think homosexuals hate you?
It must be hard having to live life based on a fable. Though all Christians do that. Whether it be the Johova knocking on one last door, or the Catholic priest molesting one more child. We all have struggles to fight. And there are ramifications for buying into falsities. But with education we don't have to fight alone, and with intellect we can win!

You and I agree that God does not hate anyone. God the father loves us as His children, just as I love my daughters. While I might scold my own children when they do wrong, my love for them never diminishes.
Where we disagree is whether or not being gay is a sin. I have known far too many gays and lesbians in my life, and I've yet to meet one who did not endure much hate and ridicule from others (many of whom called themselves Christians). I have yet to meet someone who chose this lifestyle (why would someone choose to be hated?).
My brother is gay, and he lived a tormented existence for much of the first 20 years of his life. He now shares with anyone who is willing to listen that not only does he NOT hate himself for being gay, he also knows that God loves him very much.
Yes, God forgives us when we "sin," but while you believe homosexuality is a sin (like drinking, hate, murder, etc.), many of us believe it is not. Because of this, people will not see your question as sharing God's love but rather sharing yours (and others) ignorance on the subject.
Peace be with you.

Christ judges no one. He didn't come here to judge but to save. I am an alcoholic and for some reason He saved me and has made it clear He will save anyone one else no matter their sin.
Ill never understand why people fight against this fact so hard.

Read the Word.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I don't believe in God or Jesus, so that makes me very happy. I don't have to worry about going to hell, I don't care if God/Jesus love me, and I don't think they even exist. It saves a lot of stress really. I believe in humanity and that's enough for me.

God does not exist. But plenty of Christians hate homosexuals and persecute them every chance they get despite the fact their own bible says "judge not lest ye be judged".
