Well, as a Mom and Grandmother for thirty seven years (my oldest son is thirty seven years old), I can tell you...the harder you fight your child about his choice of religion, the more you will push him or her away from you and into the religion.
And then, sooner or later, they hit that magic eighteenth year (actually they can do pretty much what they want when they are about sixteen these days, but we just don't tell them that), where they are grown, and you no longer have any say in their lives. Alienate him/her now, over his/her choice of religion, and you stand a very good chance of losing you child altogether at that time.
The very best thing you can do is to grit you teeth, and listen to your kid. Maybe even tag along to church with him/her.
You never know, you might actually learn something you don't already know.
NOTE:
Yes, I would be telling you the same thing if the kid were interested in, say, Wicca. How do you think I made this sagacious discovery? Hun, I very nearly lost my daughter to Wicca. As a "good Christian Mom", I fought it, tooth and nail.
Bad Mommy! If I could do it over agian, I'd give in to her. As it turned out, it was a passing fad in her life, and she is back in the fold....

I'm sure you are not serious in this question, so....the fact that you think all Christians are ignorant shows your own lack of intellect. Actually David tells us in Psalm 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God! So who is the ignorant and who is the wise?!?! Perhaps your child (if there really is such a person, based on your sarcasm) has been gifted with more wisdom than you will ever be able to comprehend

I would avoid extreme solutions and deal with it rationally. Explain to the child that wanting something doesn't make it happen and will only frustrate them with impossibilities. Sit down and actually focus and connect with your child, walk them through the rationale as to why they cannot be a baby again. Violence is never the answer, and any violence you use will only fester in your child to make them suffer, and you and others suffer later in life because of it. Good luck, and just remember to empathize!

Well with all the violence that is around our kids today, the kids that find Jesus or any other prophet is exactly what we need. A spiritual belief in something good and greater than us, will lead to good things. Let him, what is wrong with that?
However, my concern is the way you want to handle his belief system, maybe you need to be born again as well.

The view, concept, and practices of the Catholic church are incorrect and contradictory to the recent testomony. One can't do sufficient good issues in existence to make amends for the sins we've committed. yet catholics have confidence in case you do good deeds you will pass to heaven. The bible says that all and sundry our good deeds and tries to be righteous are like filthy rags to God. It of course says interior the recent testomony the only thank you to heaven is to ask god for forgiveness and settle for that we are hopeless without jesus' death on the go. Christianity is purely an prepared faith while you're making it that way which regrettably many church homes have. there's no longer something incorrect with purely reading the bible, using it on your existence, and asking God for forgiveness once you pray. No the place interior the recent testomony does it say you may pass with the aid of a team of ceremonies and rituals to get to heaven. As on your gf, I purely broke up with mine bc of this comparable subject. Being born returned is a existence changing adventure that alters each decision you're making in existence. i could recommend discussing what the objective of the two one among your lives are. then you definately will understand the adaptation between the two one among u and why it does no longer artwork.

Let your child think for himself. Let him come to his own conclusions of what is right, and makes most sense. You cannot possibly think that yours are the only opinions worth hearing. If you do, then YOU are ignorant. I doubt this is a serious question, but it is nonetheless a terrible question.

I think that your to late. This bond is formed in the heart of each believer not with any ritual that you could keep them from. Whether you like it or not your child is a believer in Christ. I hope as you see the changes in their life your beliefs will change as well.

LOL....oh you poor thing...having a baby with that terrible affliction.......keep your baby warm and fed and tell him you love him (or her), and surround him with science books...Hopefully, sooner than later, he'll reach out for the science books and the curse of the Religious Lemming will vanish. Good luck to you.
