The symbolism, as I recall, is that it is an act of "defiance," and celebration. Like throwing off the shackles of the school you just finished and celebrating the feeling of success.

For the joy and satisfaction that you have completed the studies! It is the 'once of a lifetime' thing. So I dont worry about getting the cap mix-up. Just dont bother to even think about it. You'll cherish that moment in your older age. I do!

WEll its the first thing to think of...its tradition. Its the only thing that can be thrown in the air.
Its fun and its symbolizes the finish of high school and the beginning of life as we all know it....lol.

It is like a football player spiking the football after a touchdown. It is a celebratory thing. Best thing to do is write your name inside the cap so you can find it later.

It is a joined celebration of finally completing years of
