It's not something therapy can change, I know.
But saying they are born this way is an ignorant argument.
Psychology tells us otherwise.

I'm bothered by how a lot of people especially Christians disregard the importance modesty. Is it because Christianity is so tolerant nowadays trying to fit in the modern generation?

I see Christians going to Churches covering themselves up and wearing conservative clothes. Why? They say it's because their in the Church. They say it's to respect the house of god. They say it's to respect others who are in Church. They say it's to avoid impliying sexual tensions while praying to god. they say it's because their communicating with god. Sadly, when these kind of people are out of Church to the public, some strip their clothes and lose modesty attracting malicious attentions(SIN) and lust(SIN) just by simply showing the cleavage or wearing mini skirts.

If so, why should modesty be applied only fo reasons being in Church surrounded by fellow Christian believers. We should respect ourselves and others.God orders us to be humble, simple and not abusive of human bodies.

Some people say that people who are gay choose to be gay. People who are gay say they are born that way.

So when straight people say it is a choice to be gay, isn't it also a choice to be straight? Or if you were born straight then how is it a 'choice' for a person to be gay? How can one ideology be fine for one particular group but not the other? We either all choose to be of a certain orientation or we are all born a certain way.

I know people will say, well we are all born hetero and the people who are gay choose to be but that doesn't work for me. Why would someone 'choose' anything in life that's gets them so much ridicule?

Use the bible if you must but I want you to really use your own brain on this one. If you are wondering, yes, I am a herterosexual Christian. I believe gays are wonderful people and are not doomed to hell.

I'm asking this, because I have the feeling that when you call somebody else "Not a Real Christian" or "Not really a Christian", you automatically assume that to be the truth.

My girlfriend is currently doing a health and safety course. Yesterday I spent the whole day sorting out little diy jobs in her house whilst she was away. I made a nice dinner, prawn salad to start and salmon done with lemon and dill and laid the table with a candle in the middle. I thought it would be nice to open a bottle of wine and sit at the table talking about her course. I grabbed an ordinary looking bottle of red out of her wine rack, opened it and waited for her to come home. When she got home she hit the roof and said she had been saving that bottle for several years for a special occassion. ooops! I can understand her being a bit disappointed but I was only trying to be nice. She spent all evening muttering to her self in the kitchen "of all the bottles to open". We didn't eat at the table and really argued. I apologised until I was blue in the face. But she said I was like a child saying sorry all the time with no idea of how hurt she was! Is it just me or was she harsh!

I'm not saying it's a choice. But definitely not inborn, or else it'd be classified as an illness.
Most scientists agree that gays become gay due to social factors.
Are some people really born with "gay" hormones?

The feeling seems to come from nowhere. Its makes me understand their perception of a situation, and i become more accepting of how others are looking at the world when i understand the feeling that they have. And then when my mind analyses the feeling that i get about them, it seems to have some logical credit in retrospect of my observations of thier physical behaviour. I am starting to be much more accepting of other people, because i feel like i have had a short glimpse into their feelings....

These feelings are usually ones that i have not usually associated with before, so where do they come from?

Is there a psychological explanation, or is it the domain of the metaphysical?

I'm trying to combine two silly statements:

1. "This planet has 2 billion Christians, that is such a large number, it has to be true"

And, whenever some Christian does something bad:
2. "That's not a really a Christian"

So, out of those 2 billion Christians, what's the percentage of real ones?

do you believe people are born gay or that they are taught to be gay? if you believe people are born gay, then only god could have made that decision for them, provided god does exist.
however, if you don't believe people can be born gay, then is it fair to say that you can't be born straight either? is our sexuality learned? if that's the case, then how can christians and other theists argue what's "natural"? even in nature you can find examples of animals participating in homosexuality.

Hypocrites!!!!!!!!!! All of these atheists are poisoning the world with their rhetoric and hatred towards our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Can you imagae what this country could be with Bible study?

"Hi, I'm angry at everyone"

Oh, you must be an athiest.

"Yep"

Would you like a bible. It will help you finally grow up.

Do Christians believe JESUS is the GOD of the Old Testament?

The Trinity contends that all three parts of God are one without any separation between them otherwise it would be proven to be polytheism.

Therefore, according to Christianity the God of the Old Testament is Jesus.

If you say yes, then you cannot ever deny that he sent the commandments written in the Old Testament.

Someone can say they don’t follow them anymore…ok…. But if they ever deny that he made these commands then JESUS was not the GOD of the Old Testament.

Here is one command JESUS sent down:

"If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, 21: but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.” ---- Exodus 21:20-21

If a Christian denies it was ever sent down by Jesus then either Jesus is not their God or they don’t believe that the Bible is the word of God.

Whether these are still enforced or whether these were sent millenniums ago…… are not the question.

The eye opener is that Christians cannot deny that according to their faith Jesus sent this command down.

Maybe enslaved men can handle a beating but fragile women would be in pain beyond imagination.

The point being made is not that Christians are released from following the divine law….the point is that if JESUS is the One God of the OT then he said this about WOMEN.

According to the current Watchtower magazine, which this very polite Jehovah lady left me, the sins of the father are not necessarily replicated in the son – because of this crazy little concept called free will. Said magazine later claims that people only grow old because of original sin. Which is it, Witnesses? Which? Huh?
Tell you what: my great great grandpapper may have been a white, slave-owning aristocrat, or he may have been a poor shanghaied Africaner turned slave. Do I feel responsible for the actions of either? Horseapples, of course not! Both men are my progenitors. I am equally responsible for the actions of both, i.e., not at all.

Jesus has been dead for like two hundred years, folks, maybe three hundred. You may think he's talking to you, but he simply isn't.
Tell me this: if he IS talking to you, what does he say in that still, small voice when the two of you are together? Does he whisper sweet nothings? I hope he does.
Answer THAT.

Seperate parts of ONE deity that can exist in their seperate forms at one and the same time is polytheism.
