God is only one, no question about that. It only shows that he is only a prophet asking for guidance and help to the Almighty.
And you must remember that jesus told us that God is a spirit, that has no flesh & bones, but Jesus has flesh & bones, he sleep but God never sleep, he eat but God never eat, he died in the cross according to you. Can you imagine God died in the cross, just what will happen to the universe if God died 3 days & 3 nights. If you are saying that jesus is God incarnate, then show us your proof & basis from the bible. Even the word Incarnation cannot be found in the bible.

Why is it that Baptists and certain Protestant Evangelicals demand full immersion baptism but don't accept the understanding of Baptismal regeneration in the waters of baptism as explained in Titus 3:5 that God "saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteousness, but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit." ?

If baptism is merely symbolic than why do they place so much importance on the ritual of baptism being only and always full immersion into the water? Some will argue this was the only bible way but is it?

http://www.catholic.com/library/Baptism_Immersion_Only.asp

"Often people miss the fact that baptism gives us new life/new birth because they have an impoverished view of the grace God gives us through baptism, which they think is a mere symbol. But Scripture is clear that baptism is much more than a mere symbol"

i often have well meaning christian friends come and trying to 'save' me by telling me all sorts of bizzare stories, ranging from earth is 6000 years old to a man (jesus) walked on water, how do i restrain myself from laughing so i don't offend their 'sincere' christian love? i 'm serious about this quesion as i REALLY can see their good heart and their view (but they can never see my view, how sad) and i know my theory of life has a higher chance of being right

To start the ball rolling once again. I've thought of a question.
How do use vinegar other than sprinkling on your chips?
My favourites are.
small amount added to marinade to tenderise meat.
Non smear window and glass cleaner
Add a cup to kettle, boil and leave to stand over night, rinse well, and all the rock deposits are gone. I do that once a week.

As a long term christian I have of late become increasingly disillusioned with the teachings of the church especially with regard to their obsession with gay bashing and their anti-abortion stance, which seems to take priority over what I consider more pressing issues such as alleviating poverty in the developing world and eradicating the contagion of paedophilia which has engulfed the church in recent years.

It is for this reason that I have of late been looking into the arguments in favour of atheism as highlighted in the following link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/atheism/history/science.shtml

Do you consider that atheists provide a better model of how the world works and how our problems could be solved? Are faith beliefs such as christianity and islam just relics of the past which have no place in our modern world?

Christianity right from its advent has been evangelical and missionary in nature. No matter where message of Jesus went, it always motivated people to go on mission and spread the Good News or Gospel.
Gospel reached Kerala (India) in first century itself, but it never produced a single missionary in all next 18 century. Condition was that Gospel even didnt spilled to the next states of Tamil nadu or Karnataka.
I would like people to send comment, answers, views and research..
Why it never produced a single missionary? Though it survived?

If their answer is “D.N.A” Medical test

Then have they asked their father to go for this Test

Or they have blind faith in their mother,

just like theist have in their holy scriptures.

Please don’t mind this question, this is not Criticism to atheist. I just want to know from atheist, does everything need to proved in science labs, or few things can be accepted without it.

The media always talks about the Quran punishments if you sin. So I thought this was because the Torah & Bible did not mention these type of things. I was wrong big time. The bible talks more about killing than the Quran. Look at some of these quotes.

Jews Torah says A born non-jewish female is in the “state of filth”

Bible says those who blasheme “should be stoned to death.”

In the synoptic gospels (ie. Matthew, Mark, Luke), Jesus referred to Himself as the Son of Man. If He had a virgin birth, and God the Father was His Dad, why'd he use that term. Son of woman, or son of God would have been alright, but not Son of Man.

I should have known what it would be like, this site. But I'm ever-hopeful. I learned a bit more about Islam, knowledge which is important to us all in the West; I learned a bit about atheism, which is important to me, a nonbeliever. As to Christianity, I learned nothing I did not know as a poor kid in Jim Crow Georgia. Good people here directed me to books and sites about Islam and atheism, which I appreciate. I can't say then that my visits over two weeks have been a waste. Questions/answers sprung by "hate" and ignorance disappointed me, though clearly some kids were dancing round the mulberry bush and being playful, or merely geeky, or snickeringly perverse and thinking to sting, to hurt and insult behind the veil the Internet provides. But, all in all, I've learned here. And you?

Can you answer this question with out quoting any passage’s from the bible? I just don’t get it. In my mind its not who we love, it’s the fact that we can and we do find happiness with someone. When 2 people love each other mind body and soul even though same gender surely there is nothing immoral, it can only be beautiful as love is exactly that….Beautiful…. If you do think it is immoral can you tell me why without using any reference from the bible? Meaning your own thoughts…..

Nobody is a certain religion out of malice or contempt for god. They are just doing what they think god wants them to do.
So, how come all these religions say that if you pick the wrong prophet, pray the wrong way, or read from the wrong book, you will be tortured for ever in the worst of ways?

Here you have people trying really hard to please god, but just because they maybe pick door number 3 as opposed to door number 2 .... BAM

Think about it.....
